American Idol: anyone still watch it?
I <3 Colton Dixon. Pretty much the only reason I was looking forward to it all year
 hoping he'd reaudition. I think it kinda sucks that it took over his sister's audition, though. He is definitely one who's music I'd really listen to. (And James Durbin from last season, he was my fave from the top 12 last year.)

We're still watching because the kids love it. I think even they're liking the Voice more though, so we might drop AI if the Top whatever isn't a group we like.
 ETA: D says we need to watch as long as Eben is on...because we have to support the 'hometown' guy. Eben lives about 15 minutes from us, we drive by his neighborhood all the time.

Oh I love that show. Mostly for the auditions, but I do keep tabs on everything and usually start watching again when it's down to the last 4. Colton is a fave of mine. There were more, but I honestly can't remember there names. Someone I went to high school with made it all the way to ... top 40 something I believe. I'm hoping she'll audition again next year

I'll have to check out Elise tomorrow... I'll admit, it'll take me a bit to remember everyone's names - I tend to have a one track mind when I decide who I want to make it, then pick up a few other faves along the way.

There were some really good guys tonight..my dh think i'm crazy when I said HeeJun will make it to the top 5 maybe top 3...lol I just love his nerdiness haha

As someone who really didn't watch much of the shows before tonight (so I'm basing on mostly on tonight's performance), for the top 5 boys I'd like to see:
Philip (he was probably my fave) Joshua Adam (OK, I had to go look at names again) Heejan either Aaron or Colton However, I don't believe Adam has any chance at all. I think Phil and Heejan are locks though and probably Eben, although he did not do well tonight. And Deandre sure got the screaming girls going tonight (although we don't really know how much of that was the producer's doing).

its hard for me to narrow it to 5..the judges each get a vote too so we could technically get 8 guys in the top 13. Guess it depends how good the girls are tomorrow
top 5 for me..were prob Phillip Colton Creighton Joshua Heejun and either Adam or Aaron for a wildcard spot... Oh I really liked that Baritone guy too...Jermaine the gentle giant

I like Colton (mainly because I like his style of music)
Adam (not sure he'll get the votes because of his age and marital status) Creighton (although he looks like the nerdy rocker guy) Heejun (he is hilarious) Joshua was really good Phillip (he's just cool) I don't like Reed - he can go this week

I've been half-way watching b/c one of the girls is from Brandon, MS which is actually where DH and I lived before and just after we got married. It's the first time we've had a local in the top 24 so it's kind of cool.

I've taped this season so far but haven't watched it ... had to delete the first 2 (I think) episodes because I was running out of space on the DVR ...
Last season was the first time we ever watched more than 2 shows in a season ...

I'm watching too! I DVR the show and then watch the next day, so I've seen the guys show but not the girls yet.
My top three favorite guys are definitely Phillip, Colton and Creighton (I pretty much ALWAYS go for the rock guys lol) but then it's hard for me to narrow it down for the other two spots cause I think Joshua, Aaron, Heejun, Adam & Jermaine are all pretty good.

the girls were kinda awful tonight IMO..there were a few good ones but overall..wasn't a big fan lol
my faves were Hollie Cavenaugh and Elise Testone Shannon Jen Jessica and Skyler were all ok for me

I always like the guys better than the girls - I just basically like guy singers better. I think they would really like to have a girl winner this year though. The last few years, the guy winners have all been kind of interchangeable.

I love HeeJun too -- his dry sense of humor is awesome! And I really love Elise. Other than that, I'm not super impressed with many of them at all. Definitely feeling like The Voice has more talent right now.

So far I like how she is handling herself and of course, her singing. All in all, I was happy with the top 13 and no one went home who I felt should have been there.

I am watching AI for the first time in a few years, it's been fun to watch this season! But... I am really not impressed with this group at all.
 Dude. Heejun cracks me up, I'd even say he was an early fave for me... but I have to keep slapping myself when I start to imagine his voice is really the voice of an "American Idol", because it's not. Also, if Deandre flips his hair one.. more.. time.  Ack!!!  My fave is Hollie! She can sure belt it out. I'm also a fan of Joshua, Colton, and Elise. I'm really interested to see how things play out!

I'm pretty happy overall with who made it into the Top 13. The only person I really would have liked to see make it that didn't was Creighton, I thought he had a unique voice. I was surprised at several of the judges picks for singing for their life, I did not like Brielle, JenH or Reed at all! So I'm glad none of them made it! Overall my favorites right now are Phillip, Colton, Elise and Skylar.

I finally caught up with everything I had on tape yesterday. I did a fast watch and while I am okay with the ones who made it, I don't have a favorite yet. I do hate Deandre's hair flipping though. So annoying. And I actually cheered when Reed didn't make it. What is wrong with that guy anyway? Quirky is one thing but frickin weird is another.
