Default Holidays with only an iPhone?

I'm going to go on vacation soon with the family. We're visiting family, going to a theme park/water park and visiting the zoo that also has a huge splash zone.

The more I think about it, the more I don't want to bring my dSLR with me, mostly because I want to play in the water park too, and not have to "guard" the camera gear. So, that means that I'll bring just my iPhone.

What photos apps do you guys recommend for vacations? I have a few I like to use like a lot:

- VSCO
- PicTapGo
- Moldiv (for collages)

Any other "must haves"?

I recommend putting your phone in a quart size freezer bag when you're around water. That's worked well for me over the years.

I just use PicTapGo to edit and Camera+ for the picture taking. I've grown to depend on my iPhone for most of the photos I need on vacation. It's just so much lighter and it's always right there.

i use Afterlight & Pic Collage to make the 4x6 collages. that way i can import them straight from my phone & into PS.

It's not an app but i'd suggest a portable charger (if you don't already have one). we got one for our trip to Disneyland. we found out that our DSLR had broken when we arrived so we only had our phones to take pictures. our batteries are goog but the charger still saved us!

One of the biggest selling points for my new phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) was that it's waterproof and can even take pics underwater! (maybe time for an upgrade? LOL!)

I don't like taking pictures on my phone. I always take the DSLR and then have to figure out what to do with it. *sigh*

I have the S4 and won't be upgrading yet, but that's the one thing I wish mine had.

On topic, I haven't been using any apps. I installed a few, but I like my Galaxy's camera interface better and would rather edit on my nice, big laptop screen. Have fun!

Back from vacation! I ended up using mostly PicTapGo and Camera+ or just the regular camera app. I am SO glad I didn't bring my big dSLR. The iPhone was just so convenient and always on me so I feel like I took more photos of little moments, which made me happy. The pics are good too -- definitely scrap-worthy.

Thanks, ladies!
