Default NSBR: Weird food things

My DS pretty much eats whatever. I realize I'm lucky that he isn't picky, but he makes the weirdest combinations. For dinner tonight we had chicken, oranges, rice, and carrots. He takes the oranges and carrots and dips them in the barbeque sauce and loves it! Then he tries to dip the carrots in the rice!
But anyway, what are your "weird food things" that you like?

I don't know if it's weird but if I eat frozen pizza, I have to dip it in ranch dressing.

I have a weird one that my mom got me hooked on when I was little. I dip my buttered toast in my hot chocolate. It's pretty tasty

Pickle Sandwichs. I take Polish dill pickles with miracle whip on a hot dog bun. Yummy. I don't mix food, so thats about it. I am a vegetarian though so a lot of what I like is probably weird to others.

My son dips everything in ketchup. If he has ketchup, whatever he eats gets dunked in it. Cheetos in ketchup was grossing me out the other day. Mine, too, is not picky at all.

Abby dips any number of things in ice cream. Pizza crusts, chicken nuggets, french fries, breaded shrimp.. she's a little odd.

We won't go in to my food quirks. There are many.

My 3yo DD dips everything in sour cream. It started with chips and then hot dogs, now it's just about everything she eats gets dipped in it. My DH hates sour cream, so he's totally grossed out by it.

Barbecue sauce makes everything better. I dip Twizzlers in it, but only when we go out to Quaker Steak & Lube for dinner.

I love mint chocolate ice cream with butterscotch sauce (NOT caramel) on it. My mom is convinced it's the nastiest combination on the planet.

My oldest used to dip everything in ranch dressing, hot dogs, yogurt, you name it. When I was a kid, I used to love mayo on my hot dogs but once my stepgrandmother made me a boiled hot dog with Miracle Whip and that killed it for me. My brother also once put cheese dip on strawberries. I about barfed.

My kids make a sandwich with peppperoni slices, dill pickle relish, barbecue sauce, and ranch dressing. They love them. They want to open a sub shop and sell them. They're old enough now (teens) that they understand it's strange, but they still eat them.

When I was growing up, we always had blueberry muffins with spaghetti.

My oldest comes up with all kinds of strange things when we go to ice cream places -- cotton candy with snickers was his latest.

I have way too many to even start explaining. I'm one of those people that eats things pregnant women would eat. But I'm clearly not pregnant. I will say 2 of my favorite things to eat is pickle sandwiches with mayo only and pickles and peanut butter. But believe me I eat way to many weird things.
My mom eats weird foods too. Like marshmellows and mustard...peanut butter, bologna, and mayo sandwiches.

My son dips everything in Honey Mustard...rice, mashed potatoes, biscuits, fish, lollipops, etc.

I don't think I really eat anything weird....I'll have to think about that. I do have a friend though who eats mayo on his broccoli and it completely disgusts me.

French Fries in chocolate milk-shake. mmmmmmmmmm.

This one isn't too weird - but something I feel I have to share with the world: You must add peanut butter to your smores. It is so good!

Tracy...we grew up eating mayo on our cooked broccoli, and on our asparagus, cauliflower and artichokes. Also, when I had to make a cottage cheese and peaches plate for the dinner table, I was required to put a dollop of mayo in the center (so it looked like a flower) and sprinkle paprika on it. My mom's family was from Oklahoma, so I'm not sure if it came from them (with all this mayo). My husband nearly gagged the first time he saw us put mayo on our veggies though. We didn't do it in our home for 20 years, but then he tried a mayo/mustard mix on his veggies at someone's house, and now he kind of likes both. We don't do it all the time...but it's an option!

I don't really eat any weird combinations. A few of my boys do, and they all love taquitos dipped in BBQ sauce. I love all kinds of ethnic food, so maybe for some of you that would be considered odd.

Oh, another when I was young, I'd mix my scrambled eggs and my applesauce together. I can still taste it....yummmm!

I don't like fries in milkshakes (AT ALL), but I think I'd love peanut butter on smores! I'll definitely try that next time!
