DIY Wall Bulletin Board?

I'm trying to turn my dining room into a work/den space for myself (love that my DH is letting me do this) and I really need to fill the completely empty wall space.

I want to try something like this...

But I'm wondering if anyone has any idea where I could buy pieces like this that aren't PB prices? LOL... I'm on a non-existent budget. LOL!

Or does anyone have any other wallart ideas for a large space?
