Default Quick Pages?

Can someone talk to me about the allure of quick pages? I see so many sets in the GGG sale and I wonder if I have use for them.

What are the pros and cons to them? Anyone want to show me some LO's made using them?

I design them for Melissa Bennett, and I think they're great for new scrappers, or for gift albums, or for filling in an album or getting some pages done quickly. I take sooo many photos and at the end of the year when I print my books, there are inevitably pictures I didn't get to. So I'll use QPs to scrap those pics.

My main question is how do you take a QP and finish it? They seem a bit unfinished to me only because I enjoy journaling and titling my LOs. I guess you'd need to have the kit used to make the QP.

Can you show me some of your finished ones?

You can journal on any QP...and add your own artwork above it. It might take a bit of great PS work to blend if you're trying to integrate tightly into the QP, but it can be done.

This is a QP that was a giveaway on KCB's blog a while ago

and this is my layout with it

I slipped the photo behind the "hole", then added my title and journaling and a bit of extra stuff from the kit. Quick and easy! It's certainly not necessary to have the kit, but it can be nice if you want to add more than just a title and journaling.

There's a tutorial on Penny's blog about using QP's if you want some additional info
