Default Anyone doing Week in the Life next week?

I have been forever inspired by Ali Edwards. Her Week in the Life project is next week starting Monday June 2nd. I love this type of time capsule project. I will be doing it. Anyone else?

Here is her blog post about the project

Still thinking about how I might bring it all together to scrap it.

The concept of A Week in the Life and a Day in the Life have always really appealed to my favorite way of documenting snippets of the Right Now...a kind of time capsule project, as you said. It encourages me to make the stories *smaller*, if that makes sense. More looking closer, more details. I think there is so much story there. And it's my most favorite.

I find myself feeling so much busier these days with less bandwidth for this kind of project, but I always give it a go anyway. I start by focusing on the photos and revisiting them throughout and at the end of the day...adding captions (in my notes on my phone, usually). So that when I can actually scrap them, I have all the key points. I often try or include ephemera from whatever is happening - weather, news, prices, current favorites, activities, music, lots of quotes. I do find that pocket scrapping seems to fit best for me with this...or like a traveler's notebook or mini album. And I think I'm going to go with mini album this time.

Sara, yes!

The first time I did this was I think in 2006 as a CKU class taught by Ali. I had never done that type of documenting before - taking pictures of the price of gas, a basket of laundry, daily meals. It was pre smart phone for me. Over the years I've only done it a few more times and sometimes the photos and notes don't get made into anything, but I still think it's a worthwhile project.

It would be kind of cool since I will be traveling. Although I kind of already do document our vacations like that.

I always want to and did do it once....but I have so much other scrapping, that I never get in to it! But I love the idea! Maybe I'll try again!
