Default Rock band Question

Today we bought a used copy of rockband, we have a mic & guitar from Guitar Hero.

Anyhow, when we go to multi player mode it doesn't show that we have 2 things, it only shows the mic, but Sean can use the guitar to select everything, so it works.

Any ideas?

The guitar for RB and GH aren't the same - it might work to select things, but they're programmed differently, I believe...

Which Guitar Hero guitar do you have? And what system are you playing on? There are some compatibility issues between the two games. I know we can't use our Rock Band 2 guitar with Guitar Hero 3, but we can use our Guitar Hero 3 guitar with Rock Band 2. It's crazy confusing.

There's an Official Guitar Hero/Rock Band compatibility chart, that might help. I don't know much else about it.

I just asked this question at GameStop over the weekend. For XBox360, he said that the GH World Tour Guitar is compatible with the Rock Band 2 game, but NOT the RockBand 1 game.

I'd go to/call a Game Stop and ask them for help.

HTH~

Okay, that's why. As far as I can tell, they're not compatible on the PS3. We've got no problem with the 360. Unless they've released a patch for it, it won't work. It'll just see the guitar as a controller. Sorry.
