Default If you hear dripping...

Don't ignore it - and always check to make sure you've put the coffee carafe back in the coffemaker!

Sigh. What a mess. Thats all.

LMAO...oops. I'm sure that's a fun thing to clean up.

(You wouldn't believe how many times at work the coffee carafe doesn't get put back properly and then coffee brewed...I've done it WAY too many times myself)

Mine is one of those sneak-a-cup ones where you can remove the carafe and it will stop dripping. Unfortunately, the water keeps dripping into the grounds, but when you're sneaking a cup, it doesn't overflow because it drips fairly slowly and the carafe is USUALLY back in place in about 10 seconds.

Yesterday I wasn't even sneaking a cup... I just completely forgot to put the carafe in place, lol. So the water was dripping into the grounds, finally got too heavy, opened up the sneak-a-cup valve AND overflowed from the top.

It was a HUGE mess, and I was not impressed. If my friend hadn't called at that exact moment when I realized it was happening, I would have cried. I laughed with her instead, lol!

Did my DH make coffee at your house? He does this at least 8 times a year!

LOL, this is soooo something I would do! We had a coffeemaker that did this all the time. We'd think we must've put the carafe in wrong, but after more than a couple times we started making a point of carefully lining that stupid carafe up before setting the timer. But, nope, didn't matter what we did, it would just randomly decide to spew the coffee everywhere but the carafe. Not a fun mess to wake up to!
