Does anyone know of any good tutorials on recoloring elements? I'm trying to recolor stitching (the purple is the wrong shade) and I'm not doing very well! I've turned it green, red, brown, and orange....but nothing close to the purple I need. LOL!
Thanks!

There are several ways to do it, but hue/saturation is the easiest. Slide the top bar. Since you want to keep the same color, but just change the shade, you probably won't move the slider more than 5-10 pts either way. Good luck!

or you can add a fill layer above it, clip it to you layer, and then set the layer style to "color". It should only take a little bit of adjustment to the fill layer to get what you want.
