Default wow I would defenitely not want to live there

The street you take to get to my road is about 3 miles long. At the end of this road is a house. Its about 40 feet or so off the road. You either make a left or a right. Well the week I was in the hospital with my daughter someone hit the house. I guess it was not damaged that badly because the people are still living there. So they put their vehicle in front of the house and put a HUGE flashing red light on top of the vehicle. You can see this light from quite a distance. Today when my husband and I were on our way home we see the red truck is there but it is bent almost in half and pushed into the house because someone has ran into this person's yard yet AGAIN!! Since we have lived here (about 19-20 years) I know I can remember at least five times that someone has ran the stop sign and either hit the house or nearly hit it. IDK I think I would be moving or putting up some sort of steel reinforced barricade. I did not hear this one and did not see the actual vehicle who hit it so Im not sure houw it happened but you can see it was hit again because of the damage to the vehicle and the fence is down yet again.

There is a house like this in my hometown. There is this steep hill and for some odd reason, the road randonly curves almost to a turn, but not quite, so no slowing down and a house is right there. Well, in the winter it was getting hit every year. Finally they put up a fence with huge big rocks in front of it.

a picture of the house. This is at the end of a major road that has smaller roads feeding off left and right where most of the people who take this road live. It is the only road to take to get to these roads really

Wow! People must drive super fast on that road if they can't stop before hitting the house.

well sometimes they drag race on the road but I dont think that is the problem I think it is people who are either on drugs or drinking because it almost always happens really late at night/early early morning hours and a good majority of the time if the people can they run.

oh the speed limit on the road is 45 and a good majority of the people drive between 40 and 50mph. The people have a fence up. They have put up lights/reflectors, big wooden poles (like telephone/power poles but shorter), they had a big planter filled with plants that was about 6 foot wide. Their latest thing was to put the truck in front of the house with a big blinking red light facing the road. It obviously did not work. That is why I think the people are intoxicated. The road is only about 3 miles long and perfectly straight. There is a warning about a stop ahead about 100 feet or so from the stop sign and that arrow you see in the photo is reflective. They also had christmas lights strung on the fence that you could actually see from the highway they were so bright. So Im not sure what else they could do to be honest. Its kinda sad. Amazingly nobody has been hurt who lives there yet out of all the timees someone has ran the stop sign and hit the house or something in the yard.

I think if it was me I would petition the county to put up some of those metal gaurdrails like they use on the side of bridges. Maybe that would keep them from hitting the house. I have never talked to them personally but my husband has spoke to the previous owner when a truck ran the stop sign and hit the telephone/power pole. It knocked phone service out for two days that time but I think he sold the house to the people who live there now.
