Default Online backup help, please!

I signed up with Mozy over two weeks ago. I have had nothing but problems with the initial back up. I have had tech support "help" me several times. Seriously....after two weeks of backing up, only 2300 files of my 70,000 were backed up! Then to get tech support is a HUGE issue and they won't help you over the phone. SO, I am looking for a new place to back up.

Does anyone have a recommendation other than Mozy? The only other company I have heard about is Backblaze. Anyone use them?

Any advise is welcome. Needless to say, I am almost bald from pulling out my hair dealing with this. HELP!

I used Backblaze until I got a new computer. I loved them! The only reason I stopped was that I bought another ehd and have time machine backing up to it so I didn't need them. I also keep some stuff on my own site.

I never had a problem with Backblaze and the inital backup was much faster than when I had Mozy.

Thank you, Amanda. That is encouraging. I have an EHD also but I am a worrier and feel the need for online backup also! I figure for $5 a month, I can make myself feel a lot better!

I just own 2 EHD, one portable, one not and back up that way.

I was using Carbonite but switched to Backblaze just in case I ever wanted to back up an EHD.

What I like about Carbonite & Backblaze is that they are both pretty effortless.

I had tried Mozy and it seemed like more work.

LOL I used Mozy for like 2 days...then canceled. I hated it...took forever and I had to keep restarting it. I switched to Carbonite (don't have an ehd) and don't have a complaint one about the backing up process. I'm really hoping to never have to learn about the recovery part of it.

I was previously using Mozy but switched to BackBlaze back in February and have had zero problems with it unlike when I was with Mozy. My initial backup was huge (my 640gb EHD which is almost full and my 500gb HD which was maybe 1/3 full) so it took a long long time but now that it's just doing the newly added stuff it is super fast.

I have used Mozy for about a year now and haven't had any problems. I have heard good things about Carbonite. You may want to check them out.
