Default Reasons why being a single parent is tough..

(this is mostly silly LOL )

#1 Tooth pulling.
I can not stomach teeth. At all. Really. Vomit happens. Being trapped alone inside my apartment with a kid with a tooth dangling from his mouth is pretty high up there on the horrific scale. If I had a husband, I'd send them off somewhere to rip it out together far far out of eye/ear shot. I repeat.Vomit.

#2 Those Days Children are just plain annoying.
There's no one else here for me to say.. dude, deal with the boy.. .and I'm not allowed to bite him when he annoys me.

#3 Boy......... Things.
This covers everything boy related that I am unfortunately clueless about. Including how to wee and not get it all over the floor.

#4 Wrestling.
This goes with #2.. but in the playful manner. I may be tough. I may be awesome. But at the end of the day I'm still a weenie girl, and if you tackle me enough times I may break.

That's really all there is. At the end of the day, I think I have it pretty good & I wouldn't change a thing :] Kid and I are awesome.. We could take on the whole world ^_^ ... As long as he gets that $#^@##%@$@ tooth out of his mouth. Cause really. VOMIT. He thinks it's a bag of laughs to come stand 2 inches from me and pull on it so I gag.

give him an apple. Nine times out of ten that is how my kids got their teeth out. They (and I) are to wimpy to just yank it out so the apple usually solved that for us LOL

And I know what you mean about guy stuff. I am the only female in a house with three guys. Sometimes I just need some girl time and I am so not a girly girl but I swear there are only so many boy things I can take.

La - I love YOU! I never tell my hubby about my scrappy friends - he doesn't care. But, this was just to hilarious to pass up. We have a dangling tooth at our house too. Our first. I'm not very excited about figuring out what to do with it. Good luck with yours.

As a single mom to a boy, too, these are so true. Though the tooth thing hasn't happened here yet. lol I would totally yank that baby out though.

Don't feel bad about that one...seems like there's a lot of grown men who haven't figured that one out either.

My thoughts EXACTLY!

And just YANK that baby. If it's that loose, it won't take much to get it out. I swear. At least he's wanting it out. It was a fight to get Luke's out. Tears and all. I was so annoyed.

Well - I do say stuff every now and then. Like, "one of the scrappy girls recommended jeans from JC Penney." Crap like that. And, he hears stuff about my teams every now and then. But, seriously, he doesn't care. So, I just don't bother talking to myself (oh, I mean him) about it very often.

Ewwwww. I can't handle teeth either. Libby's lost 3 so far and she thinks it's so awesome to come up and show me how loose her teeth have been getting. I was one of those kids who LOVED losing teeth. Now that my kid is losing teeth, I just can't handle it. I seriously feel like I could throw up. And when you can hear moving when she wiggles it? *gagshuddergag*

I don't understand boy things either...I started watching my nephew one day a week and have had pretty much zero exposure to little boys before now...I didn't know that they have to tuck it in when they go number 2...I let him do his thing and when I came in to help him wipe (he's 3) I couldn't figure out why his pants and floor were all wet. lol Lesson learned.

no they dont. and apparently cannot remember to put the seat down either. with three boys in the house it is so easy for them to blame each other and I am the only girl. I have seriously contemplated having a bathroom installed that only I am allowed to use

You need to put a disclaimer on things like this La! I read "wiggly tooth" and wanted to puke! Seriously. I can NOT stomach the thought of wiggly wobbly loosey teeth! I want to puke right now! Blah!!!!

Just yank it out! LOL Teeth don't bother me at all but vomit so does! One time Hannah lost a tooth at school and I just happened to be there volunteering. Well I just took the tooth and stuck it in my pocket for the day; gotta do what I gotta do.

If I wasn't married and my kiddos had loose teeth we would be heading over to my brothers house to have him yank those suckers out. I cant deal with teeth issues at all.

Oh and I imagine that I would have a supremely hard time dealing with boys bringing in bugs and critters and such into the house if I was single. Although the other night there was a tiny gecko that got into the house and I actually managed to scoop it into a plastic bowl and take him outside- ALL BY MYSELF! But heaven forbid there be a roach in the house- if I didnt have my live-in roach killa then I would have to pack up the boys and leave the house for a few days.

Oh La! I totally can relate even though I do have a DH (when he's ever home)! Yes boys will pee on everything, they just don't care! Make him clean up the bathroom!

As for the loose tooth, we still aren't there yet. Evan has now informed me he is the ONLY one in his first grade class that has not lost a tooth and wants apples in his lunch every day. When I was little, my Korean Auntie pulled all my teeth. Maybe that is why to this day I get nervous around her.

And yes to the wrestling thing. I'm pretty tomboyish but even I have to say "sorry dude I'm not Daddy, lets find something else to do" often. Don't know what to tell you.

I often say I don't know how you single moms do it. Like daily when DH is gone and I am trying to hold it together!

I'm totally squeamish about teeth. My niece and nephews loved making me squim. I think my boys are a lot like me so they didn't do anything like that.

Rick is worse than me. He can't do anything like help them pull out their teeth.

I just tried to not look at them and hope it would fall out. A few of them never got loose and their big teeth came in, so we had to take them to the dentist to get them pulled. That was MUCH easier!!!

well ladies and gents......
the
tooth
is
still
freaking
there

LOL I don't know how else to help him. I 've given him toilet paper.. wet wash cloth (this was my mothers fav choice when i was a kid. .and i hated it.. LOL) the apples.. ice.. I'm pretty sure he's stuck random things into his mouth ..

ugh. I can't take the squishy grindy noise any longer. it looks ridiculous, cause like i said it's half hanging there, crossing over his other front chomper cause one side is literally unattached completely

I tried to suck it up you know, and pull it out, but i just gagged too much.. even closed my eyes LOL
hopefully it comes out @ school tomorrow. That's where the 1st two fell out last year.

I thought about you today. My DS's front tooth is loose. Not loose enough to come out yet. However, because he grinds his teeth, it is so little. We tried today to get it out but couldn't. I say "we" meaning my hubby. I too, hate the thought of wiggly teeth.

Now, his tooth is infected in the gum. It has to come out. Poor kid, my hubby even tried pliers but we can't grip it. Talked to the dentist and we are seeing him in the morning. So another tooth, I don't have to get out. (The part I hate is first grabbing the sucker but then when the roots break the sound grosses me out)
