Default So... pork rinds

The kids are watching Food Network and I just learned what pork rinds really are.

ew!!!!! I figured they were just some kind of crunchy, salty chip thing

LOL yea I knew what they were. Used to love them when I was a kid but not so much anymore.

Yeah, it is kind of off-putting - and I feel guilty for still kind of liking it.

There's been a bit of an ad push over here to make them into a kind of trendy, traditional appetiser, rather than just a naughty, 'I-only-eat-this-when-I'm-very-drunk' snack. Funnily enough, I don't think its working

LOL I've always known what they were and I still like them, but I only eat them about once every 5 years or so.

Well, that was the interesting thing, is that the guy scrapped all the fat off... so it was just the skin left. At least that's how this dude made it.

Sometimes they scrape the fat off but considering that the fat disolves when fried it's a needless step.

Ok, so I have a general idea of what they are - I know my dad used to eat them ALL the time during football games lol. I liked them, and still like bbq ones... But I don't think I want to see exactly how they're made.
