Default Oof... Braxton Hicks

Man, I am so not loving the BH I'm having right now! They are a bit uncomfy, but they keep triggering lower back pain along with them, which really is no fun at all! I was having this same thing on Monday, but nothing came of it, and I'm not expecting these ones too either...

I need to jump into bed & hope these let up a little bit. I don't mind being kept up by real contrations, but the BH are just annoying, lol!!

are you sure tehy are BH? I was in labor with my son twice early and it was just really bad back pain. It got so bad I could not get comfortable laying down, sitting or standing. No matter what I did it was there. Went in and found out I was in labor. Thry gave me a shot and within a few hours the contractions had stopped and I felt better. Well I saw still pregnant so I had the normal pains but the severe back pain was gone. When I asked the dr he said some women only have back labor. All I know is it was bad enough I went in to the hospital twice for it. (I secretly think they were way way off on my sons due date cause the labor started around 28 weeks and he was born at 41 weeks and was 11 pounds)

I've been having a lot of back pain with this whole pregnancy, and the BH have pretty much stopped now. When I had DD, I had no back labor, but the same general back pain throughout the pregnancy... I'm hoping this time is the same... I've heard that back labor hurts worse than regular labor (I cannot imagine!)!

Baby is still active, and I haven't dropped yet or had any other signs of imminent labour, so I'm pretty sure that this is just BH kicking up again. I'm just 37 weeks today, so I *should* be okay for a bit yet. Although DD was born at 37.5 (on her own - no intervention of any kind), so you never know... it could happen any time now!

YEA i wasnt telling you to scare you I hope you know that....just you know be weary. If the pain is so bad you really cant get comfortable and it feels different then the regular back pain from PG it might be a good idea to call your dr. I had no idea it was labor. I didnt know you could have back labor. Mine was pretty much just steady pressure which came from me rearranging furniture and mopping our floor on my hands and knees. Not fun. The dr yelled at me for moving furniture and told me no more of that. I had regular labor with my middle son for many hours. Im not sure excactly how many because it was just a long time and induced. Im thinking it was close to 18 hours and while I think they hutr more they were more like a wave that would go through my stomach while when they told me I was in labor and the pain in my back was contractions it just felt like steady pain but way worse then any backache Id ever had. I think the regular ones were worse cause it was like wave after wave that would go up and down. Just when I thought one was done another would start LOL. (ANd I ended up having him c-section as well so I felt like all those hours spent in pain was a waste since the dr had a feeling he was going to be to big but he said hed rather try a vaginal birth then just jump to a c-section. With my third/last I did not even attempt a vaginal birth. I told him no way just schedule m,y c-section.

Oooof...I'm right there with you, but I'm only at 26.5 weeks. For me they activate heartburn, so I joke with DH that she keeps setting off the volcano.

I have been on bedrest for preterm labor, and just got off my medication to stop contractions and dialating this week. I am now almost 37 weeks, so Dr. says baby can come anytime. I have been having contractions everyday, but not consistent yet. I am right there with you ladies. Hoping this little girl comes soon... I am so DONE being pregnant!!

I didn't realize our babies were due so close to each other Aly! What's your EDD? Mine is March 19th... but in my mind, I'm having a March 6th baby (wishful thinking I know, lol)! And I hear you... I tell DH EVERY DAY that I am so over this pregnant thing, lol!

My SIL had back labor like you are describing. She said it was so awful... but her doctor let her go 36 hours (!!!) before saying "You know what? It's not going to happen, let's get you up to OR". Nice. She said she could have beat him with something, lol. With DD, I was really worried about back labor because of the pain I was having in my lower back the whole pregnancy, but I lucked out (I think??). I was getting the wave pain across my abdomen too - and it was brutal.

Come to think of it... I don't think any form of birthing is all that "ideal". Pain comes with it no matter what. Good thing we get such a sweet little bundle at the end, haha!
