Hello, everyone. My husbands a farmer and I take lots of farm pictures. Can someone please direct me in the proper direction for a lovely kit to finish this layout?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/43548162@N02/6000250945/ Wheat harvest takes place in June, so I would like something summery. Any ideas? I would also love advice on how to attach a picture from flickr. ![]() |

Sigh, another enabling thread!
I love "Farm Fresh 2 U." You can put your own fruits and veggies in the baskets. How awesome is that! |

Okay, I finished it:
![]() I used Thankful for you, because I couldn't resist the wheat elements. It reads: This year was quite challenging for the agricultural world. First, we faced record-breaking cold temperatures that were incredibly hard on the wheat, but received very little of our normal snowfall. At the beginning of Spring, we were already desperately dry and the wind blew and blew. Unfortunately, our bad weather continued and the temperatures soared in late May, breaking even more records- this time for heat. The entire area is parched and the old timers swear it is dryer than ever before. By the time wheat harvest rolled around, things were looking very bad. The wheat reached nowhere near it’s normal yield levels, causing much concern for the entire crew. The drought was extremely depressing and took a toll on everyone. Through it all, we had to keep looking at the bright side of things. We had a wheat harvest that made some profit, even if it wasn’t our normal levels. Many farmers in the area weren’t so lucky. Of course, I also believe this is character building weather. Fifty years from now, when my grandchildren are complaining about the weather, I will be able to say, "You don't even know. The winter of 2011 was freezing cold and the windchill hit -27. That summer was miserably hot and to make everything worse it was dryer than a popcorn fart!" I also applied shadows for the first time ever and realized they make a BIG difference! |
