Default preschool websites?

I'm trying to teach my son to use a mouse on the computer... any good websites out there for this? We have been using PBSkids.com - since it has the characters that he knows... but he needs to work on his mouse skills. My kiddo is 4, btw...

Thanks!!

Why not get him on paint and have him draw - great mouse skills doing that!

My 4-year-old learned on coolmath.com. There are lots of (math) games for 6+, but also some that worked well for 4-6 age group.

You can start with colouring pages: http://www.coolmath-games.com/colori...nt-out-01.html

Then mazes, and then check out the games, some of which are geared towards younger kids.

I second the Paint program. My DD (3 y/o) loves to play with it. We also do Sesame Street and Nick Jr. I've heard good things about Starfall, too.

Be prepared for your DS to AMAZE you with how fast he picks up the whole computer thing. My DD picked it up so fast and I'm not even kidding, shows my DH how do do stuff on the computer. She can even open up my picture program and use the folders to drill down on the side to open up the videos folder (she looks for the V) so she can watch herself!! I swear, show them how to do things once, and they are all set!

If he knows some basic stuff try out Noggin! My boys love that site. Zach's had an account for 3 1/2 years and he never gets tired of it.

My nephew (3) was here over the weekend and he asked me to put Starfall on the computer for him to play. The mouse targets are pretty big in the alpahbet game and he really enjoyed playing it. I think they have math and other games too. I was impressed with how well he did with the mouse.

I'll third or fourth Starfall. My youngest loved that site and was able to get around on it pretty well by herself. It will reinforce letters and letter sounds in addition to mouse skills!

Geez... all these three year olds doing this already... kiddo is behind! lol!

Thanks - I'll check these out... we've really haven't exposed J to the computer since he has other electronic learning toys and I wanted him to play more with blocks and imagination play (which he really hasn't gotten into yet)... now he wants to be like daddy and use a computer... *sigh*

Don't worry about being behind. Some kids hit Kindergarten without touching a computer and they pick up so quickly, it isn't a barrier at all.

I'll have to check out Starfall!

Aside from what has been mentioned, zoodles.com and seussville.com are popular around our house.
