Red face Shutterfly - little help, please...

Girls, next week we'll have here the (brazilian) Valentine's Day and I already won my gift! LOL

My loveeeed husband gave me this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=FHO3LXwKoug

I'm sooooo happy!! Can't wait to start to use this!

Anyway... with my bamboo, I also won a Shutterfly cupom! One album, 8x8, 20 pages.

Ok! The only thing is: I NEVER did an album for me! LOL

So, I selected 20 pages and I wanna to put there, but I wanna know if, before I upload everything, if you have some tip to give me. I don't wanna ruin my first album! hahahah

Here you can see my 20 pages selected - they are still in 12x12: http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...ilha/album.jpg

Questions:

* do I have to save them in 8x8 to upload?
* do I have to leave a little "margin" to print?
* shutterfly is really a good place to do album??
* what do you think about my choices?
* another thing: do I have to do the cover??

Thank you for your answers!!!

You can upload them in 12x12 and they will work just fine. If you have anything really close to the edges (I didn't look yet) then you may want to resize a little so that things aren't cut off. Generally, I don't have a problem but I also don't scrap anything important super close to the edges. Shutterfly albums are nice. I like the hard covers (especially prefer the padded covers) but you aren't going to get 'photo' quality since they aren't printed on photo quality paper, you know? They are worth having for sure (and definitely when they are free!). All of my photo books are Shutterfly but that's because I get them free and haven't tried other companies for that reason. As for the cover, you can do a personalized cover or you can make one using their templates. I like making my own. I typically upload blank papers for the back cover and the spine. Somewhere on the Shutterfly site is a template to download for the covers.

Oh fun! Happy Valentine's day to you!!

* do I have to save them in 8x8 to upload?
I've never resized mine and they've come back just fine!
* do I have to leave a little "margin" to print?
Nope, no need to make a margin. I think I've had a few get cut off, but I haven't sat down to figure out why they were cut off and others weren't. And I'm not that anal about my books, so it doesn't bother me. lol
* shutterfly is really a good place to do album??
It's the only place I've made books from & I've been very happy with them.
* what do you think about my choices?
I love seeing your layouts! I think you've made fabulous choices!
* another thing: do I have to do the cover??
I've used both my own cover & their templates. The templates are usually pretty obvious that they're templates. What I've done most of the time is made a quick cover page (paper, photo, title, a few ellies & I'm done) and then I used that as my title page, too. Will any of the pages you've chosen work as a cover page, too? Or do you have another page not in the selection that will work?
