Murder/Mystery/Crime readers
So Im looking for something new to read. I read so much and have pretty much caught up on everything I've read. Here is a list of authors/books that I've read
James Patterson- Alex Cross series Women's Murder Club series Michael Bennett series JD Robb- Eve Dallas Series Patricia Cornwell- Kay Scarpetta Series Iris Johansen- Eve Duncan series Michael Connelly- Harry Bosch series Tess Gerritsen- Rizzoli and Isles series JA Jance- JP Beaumont series Ali Reynolds series Janet Evanovich- Stephanie Plum series Sue Grafton- Kinsey Milhone series non-murder/mystery books Twilight series 50 shades of Grey Vampire Academy series Hunger Games Sookie Stackhouse series Black Dagger Brotherhood series So..... I need new book recommendations.

Kerry Greenwood has two great series out. One, the Phryne Fisher series, is set in Melbourne Australia in 1929. Phryne is a detective. There are around a dozen or so books in it
The other, featuring baker Corinna Chapman, is set in modern day Melbourne & features very few bodies but lots of non murder related mysteries & a wonderful cast of characters. Both series are fun & great reads. There are 6 books in it. Both series were recently released on kindle at last & are all less than $5 right now, many under $3 & the first in each is free. Stephanie Bond has the 'Body Movers' series, set in modern day Atlanta, GA. In addition to each book's individual mystery there is an over riding story arc that runs through them. Plus she has some stand alone ones that are decent. I especially like the two set in Mojo, LA. All are funny. Not as slapstick as Stephanie Plum but some of the same humor. There are 6 books in it There is also Donna Andrew's Meg Langslow series, set in modern day small town Virginia. Has a Plum vibe but again, lacks the slapstick. I think there are aout 10 or so in it. Carola Dunn has a well written series featuring Daisy Dalrymple, a 'modern woman' set in the early 1920s in London. About 15 books in this one. If you are looking for something in the 50 Shades genre I highly recommend Lorelei James' Rough Rider series - 13 books and a novella.

Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache Novels; Still Life is the first. She does an amazing job of crafting who-dunnits that are very life-affirming. Inspector Gamache is my fictional hero.

Here are a few series that I've read. Easy reads - and fun
Joanne Fluke - Hannah Swensen series Diane Mott Davidson - Goldy the caterer series Jo Dereske - Miss Zukas - I haven't read this series in a while - but I did enjoy them (borrowed them from a friend before we moved away). It's all about a librarian solving mysteries.

Maybe Kathy Reich's Bones books. It is the series of books that the TV show Bones is based on.

John Sandford --- I love the Lucas Davenport series and have been reading it forever. He has a spin off series based on a character in the Davenport series now and I devour those too. Lucas is a detective in Minneapolis who sometimes steps out of bonds in order to get his man. Love the series and am currently rereading.
Jonathan Kellerman -- child psychologist, best friend is a police detective, they work together. Another long series that I love. I read a lot of the same as you -- JD Robb, James Patterson, Sookie, Janet Evanovich, Sue Grafton -- and I'd place the two above ahead of any of those authors. Oh, one more... Kay Hooper. Her Bishop books are about a psychic who runs a unit of the FBI composed of psychics. I really enjoy the books. And if you like JD Robb, any of Nora Roberts books. I really liked her last one about the witness protection program. It's called The Witness. Her trilogies and series are more romance than anything else, but her single releases are usually mystery/romance combos. Love them.

Kim- I forgot about John Sanford when I posted this. I read the first book and thought it was ok- his writing is a little tough for me to get into but I did enjoy the first book. So Im reading the 2nd book right now.
Thanks for the recommendations everybody! I read every single night and was about to freak out if I didn't have more books to read.

LOL I was going to recommend Stephen White's Alan Gregory series as well. I agree, the last few have not be so great, but as a whole I really enjoy them.
Ariana Franklin's The Mistress of the Art of Death series was really good too...if you also enjoy historical fiction you might enjoy them. I also like Karen Slaughter's books...just saw today that she has a new one out, so I'm definitely putting that on my toead list. Harlan Coben is another good mystery/thriller author. The Divergent series by Veronica Roth is good. Ashfall by Mike Mullin was a pretty good read as well, about a teen struggling to survive after the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts. Right now I'm reading Enclave by Ann Aguirre...I'm loving it so far.

I like the Psychic Eye series by Victoria Laurie. Her main character is a psychic that helps solve murders and there is a bit of love story between her and an FBI agent. It reads pretty fast, each book is different and it's a lot lighter (not so gorry or emotionally heavey) as James Patterson.

I would recommend Nevada Barr and her Anna Pigeon series. They are mysteries set in various National Parks but have regular characters and interesting plots.

M.C. Beaton's "Agatha Raisin" and "Hamish MacBeth" mysteries! Also Dorothy Cannell's "Elly Haskell" and Elizabeth Peter's "Amanda Peabody" series.

Have you read any of the books by James Patterson that are not a part of a series?? I highly recommend "the Postcard Killers" and/or "Don't Blink", they were my favorites! I am currently working on the Women's Murder Club Series.
 Another really good murder/mystery book that I recently read was "The Shakespeare Secret" by J.L. Carrel.

Oh I see you like series. I also noticed you dont have any Dan Brown books in your list. But off the top of my head I can only remember 2 great murder/crime mysteries that I really enjoyed and they are

My faves are Jonathan Kellerman, Kathy Reichs, Tess Gerritsen, David Baldacci, P.D. James, Val McDermid, & Jesse Kellerman. When I need a laugh, I like Jana Deleon. The Mudbug series is adorable. They're romance mysteries.
