Happy Anniversary to me...
Well-today is my Wedding Anniversary-and you know how the old cliche goes that the guy always forgets, well...I FORGOT and Scott didn't. I came up from the shower this morning and he was like...
"Is there anything you want to tell me?" and I was like... "Ummm, I got all the laundry caught up yesterday?" and he was like... "NO!" so I tried again, "Umm, Well, I spent $132 at Old Navy on clothes that the boys really didn't need?" he replied... "NO SHANNON! You do that kind of stuff all the time!, It's our anniversary today!" OMG-I know I felt like a heel, I'm not sure how this day snuck up on me, or what I am now going to have to do to make it right with him, cause honestly, the wife is supposed to remember! We have been married 7 years today. Please don't let me forget that his birthday is next Sunday...LMBO!

Happy Anniversary!!! I must just have my husband trained cause for some reason he thinks our anniversary he is supposed to remember, he is supposed to buy me a present and flowers and I am just supposed to smile, say thank you and I love you too! LOL Like "thanks for putting up with me for year after year after year after year", lol.
Hope you and DH have a wonderful day and do something special!

That is a great story....My DH starts asking me about a week before and acts like he does not know what the date is.....I never get anything for him either..if anything we go out to dinner and that is about it!!!! If it is a special one we may do a little something more (get your minds out of the gutter ladies!!!)

Sorry I missed you this morning. Our electricity went out, and well, you know why poor people have so many babies, right? Not much else to do without electricity... anyhoo, hope I don't see you all day because you are having so much fun celebrating seven years of wedded bliss!

This happens regularly in our house. We love each other dearly, we just don't get caught up in "events." In our house, we choose who says the family prayer based on the date...boys have odd days (dad in morning and DS at night) and girls have evens. So, then as we are reminding ourselves of the date (odd or even), we realize it's our anniversary.
And as a little bit of a disclaimer. It does fall in June...not one of those months where you are looking at the calendar every single day like you do during the school year.

I always forget whether ours is August 18 or 19. I just canNOT keep the date in my head. My DH always says "Oh, that's easy, it's Bill Clinton's birthday". Um, yeah, that helps.

Happy Anniversary!Hubby joked when we decided to get married on Christmas Eve that I only picked that date so that he'd never forget our anniversary. Well, you know what? We both still forget, lol! Okay, we don't actually forget, because it's pretty hard to do that, but we're caught up in everything else going on and then someone will say, Oh, hey, that's right! Happy Anniversary, you two! and, we're like, Oh, yeah, so it is! It's no big deal to me. I love that our anniversary is on a day filled with celebration and family, and that's more than enough for me. It's the same with birthdays, etc. Sometimes we might make a fuss with a big celebration or present, but often we don't and that's just fine.

Happy Anniversary Shannon! Today's my bday! I'm cracking up, I've done the same thing to my dh. Once I thought I was being all sentimental and scripted a little note inside his card thanking him for xx number of years and he totally embarassed me by correcting me. I had the years wrong. Better tie a string around your finger as reminder for his upcoming bday.
