Default No more goober for me *sigh*

Well, I was one of the main cheerleaders for getting everyone to switch over to goober, but unfortunately, I think it's doing crazy things to my computer. I've been getting weird RAM messages when I run Photoshop and Goober at the same time (and I've got LOTS of ram, so that's not really an issue). Plus, everything is just running really really really slowly. Dang it.

So, I took Bree's advice and downloaded the Jing thing for screenshots, and I'm using it in Yahoo for now. I'm not HAPPY about it, but I want PS to work more than I want to be able to chat.

I guess until we find a perfect hello-like solution, you guys can find me in yahoo. My username there is libby_w

I'm worried that is happening to me too, Libby. I just uninstalled and re-installed it after getting two successive "blue screen of death" messages. I attributed it to uninstalling Hello and maybe they shared some components. But my friend Jaynice is having PS problems, so we may end up going the same route as you. I already have a program called Snag-It that I use for screen shots.
I'm going to give it another week to see if it's fixed. If not...you may find me on Yahoo too

well dang it, Melissa! I hate it that it's happening to you, too. I'm a little glad to know it's not just me though.

This stinks.

Geez, I am way out of the loop, I have never even heard of goober, It's been quite some time since I used Hello either. I haven't really used it since I went back to work full time and retired from designing. Guess I'll end up on yahoo too,

The thing to do, is find what works for you. There are several programs out there that support multiple platforms. You can be on Qnext and see ppl on Yahoo, etc.

Basically, the idea that Bree came up with, was to find what works for you, and then everyone gets a yahoo id so everyone can talk to each other.

I did notice that goober is a major power zapper.. like I don't have enough of those issues already granted.. sometimes hello did that to me too.

I"ve had a yahoo account for years but when i got this new pc i chose to not install it this time. I DO however have a yahoo id, so if you all think it could be used without my reinstalling it, for use with the Q, I could post it here.
I've got MSN messenger that I use as my primary messenger. Just trying out Q right now.

ok - I SOOO want to cry right now after reading this I thought Goober might be what has been causing my computer to act weird all weekend. So I uninstalled it - now NONE of my 4 USB ports work. That means no mouse and no EHD. The HP chat bot had me uninstall the ports but that didn't work. I"m too upset to even try them again. I hate computer issues!!

thanks for letting me vent

I liked Goober, but when I put it on my laptop, I got the blue screen of death, twice in one day!!!

I didn't like that, so I deleted it. I will reinstall my YIM today. I have MSN too.
