((((hugs)))) we have all been there. Lukas has only ever stayed away from me for 2 nights, 1 was when I had to stay in hospital overnight when I was pregnant with Leo and 1 was the night Leo died and he's 6 on Sunday lol. To be honest apart from school he has spent a grand total of about 6 hours away from me in the last 4 years it even sounds insane to me when I type it *sigh* it's a mum thing. Hugs Crystal xx

My three year old has never spent the night away from us...I would be totally sad too.
By the time the older boys were Landens age they were staying away from me all the time...I don't know how I did it...

(((hugs))) My kids have stayed at their grandparents or travelled up to their aunt & uncle's place without us since they were 6 months, but I still miss them when they aren't home. I spent about a month away from Natalie, when Mason was in the hospital at the beginning of his treatment, and it was really rough...she was 11 months old and I kept telling the people that were looking after her (she was being passed between family) that if she started walking, they were NOT to tell me...I wanted to believe when we got home and she did it, that it was the first time and I was the first person to see it. Thankfully she didn't learn to walk until she was 14 months, lol...

Ugh! I feel for you! I've never been away from my children (or them away from me) overnight--except my oldest when my youngest was born, but that doesn't count. I don't know if I could do it!

Try to enjoy your little break, she'll be back soon enough. Give her a call so that you know she's OK and for peace of mind. Then rest easy!

LOL, I am such a sap!!
She is staying one more night at my sisters house so I decided that I had to phone her, tell her I love her , you know all the mommy stuff....when I was saying goodnight, she whispers into the phone I miss you mommy...I totally started bawling, man I can't wait for tomorrow, LOL!But I must admit, it has been nice not worring about getting her ready in the morning and rushing off to work, just taking a little me time was nice! And DH and I got lots done on the house!!! Yay! Drywall is going up tomorrow!!!!

I hope you managed to enjoy some of the break!

My kids are 4.5 and 2, and this month I was away from them for 2 nights for the first time (not counting when I was in the hospital having DS2). They were home with DH and I've got to admit, I enjoyed the break! I think it would have been a lot harder knowing that they were in someone else's home without a parent there. Maybe one of these days we'll try it...

omg, i don't know how you're handling it!! The only time I was ever away from my son overnight was when I was in the hospital all those times, but I knew he was with da-da and that made it bearable. I can't imagine sitting at home. When my youngest was in the NICU for that first week, I had to spend two nights home without him and I didn't sleep a wink either night.

The first time I left JT it was with my parents for a 3 day Youth Conference trip that I was a chaperone for. I kept putting off leaving him and as I rocked him to sleep (he was 18 months old) I just cried! Then, I had a 4 hour drive to my destination and I cried for 2 hours of the drive. We both survived, but it was so hard!
