I am hoping someone can help me. The two black tabs [within the black circles] suddenly showed up on my Photoshop workspace and I can't get rid of them no matter what I do. They are obnoxious and I have googled and searched and spent hours trying to remove them but I have had no luck... and I pride myself as one who can always figure these things out. Maybe I am having a lame-brain moment but I am going crazy here. They block parts of my layout and they won't even move!

Weird. I've not come across that before. Is it connected to your ruler or info? Is it still there if you close down and restart?

I have checked ruler and all other tools and it doesn't appear to be connected. It disappears when I restart the program but pops right back up again.

That looks like options for the move tool? Does it go away if you switch tools (brush tool for example?)
Try resetting the move tool? (the little drop down in the options toolbar) ![]()

You should be able to turn it off by going to photoshop - settings and then under tools make sure show transform values is set to "never"
![]() i'm still on photoshop 2022 so they may have updated the placement since then, since apparently moving things around is some hobby of adobe's :P |

1. It does not go away no matter what I click on or what tool I am using.
2. I reset tools and no change 3. My Transform values is set to NEVER

Not photoshop, but I know with Word I occasionally get a document with a "glitch" and the only thing to "fix" it is to delete the blasted document and start over ...

Sounds like a glitch. Those only show up for me when I'm actually moving an element (have it selected and using my dragging it around) on my screen.

Would that be some kind of screen memory thing? RAM? Sometimes my screen acts up and things stay on it until I close the program down and other programs even sometimes. Not sure how it is called. Maybe a computer memory clean up to free up some space?
I would be one to be very annoyed by that too. I hope you find a solution. Good luck!

I literally am experiencing the same thing tonight!
![]() Hoping your troubleshooting will help LOL. I've had it happen before and at some point it's like glasses, you stop seeing the frame after a while. |

That is crazy you are having the same issue! I thought I was losing my mind! I fixed it!!!! Turned off my computer and turned it back on again! You would think I would have thought of that but I thought turning off the program alone would be sufficient. Let me know if that works for you!!!!!!

Glad it worked anyway and you got rid of it (hadn't seen it on your posted layout anyway). It sounds like a glitch in photoshop, maybe they had fixed it with an update. Like Kiana, I only have this tool when I'm moving things around, trying to line them up (e.g. for a title). I have to say, I still use PS 2019 even though I have all the updates after that in my subscription.
