Default Is there anything I should know...

about hooking a printer up to a laptop?

I bought a Canon printer and a usb to usb cord... but it's just a wee bit confusing because all the instructions are for a desktop...

should I just have to install the software and hook the cord up?

Thanks girls!

I would think it would work the same...for my laptop I just plugged it in and my computer noticed I had a new device and did the install from that.

I just recently bought a Canon all-in-one about two weeks ago and I have a laptop. I just followed the instructions for the desktop and it works fine. I also always make sure that I turn the laptop and the printer off before I disconnect them,
