mamas of skinny little girls...
where do you buy jeans? now that we're having cooler weather, i went through my stash of clothes and have NOTHING that fits Madelyn. she's really tall....and really skinny. Where's a good place to buy jeans for a skinny minny?

I have to make sure to buy adjustable waist jeans (she's got really long legs and skinny) for Moriah... usually Old Navy is where I get them and I usually have to adjust the waist as small as they go.

My DD was born almost three months premature, and 9 years later, she still has never completely caught up! I have good luck finding pants that fit at Gymboree. I usually have to buy about two sizes smaller than her age. (She's 9 but wears a size 7 pants). The adjustable waist bands are a God-send! If they're a little loose, I can tighten up the waist band and then let it out later so that she's able to get a lot of wear out of one pair of pants. HTH!

levis have skinny and straight jeans that are-- well.. skinnier- they also have the adjustable waists... I always found them @ target..granted, these are boy jeans- but I'm assuming there are levis adjustable waist girl jeans there too LOL

Adjustable waist bands are the only way to go! I haven't had to worry about it too much with Rae yet, but they are a must for the boys. They all take after their father - skinny with no bum.

I have had jeans from Old Navy, Gymboree and the Children's Place, all with the adjustable waists. If it weren't for those, we'd never have pants here, they would fall down LOL.
I bought Amelia some jeans from PS Aeropostale the other day, and they fit great too. Rae is too little for those yet!

Dude, girls are like that too. Ava wears a lot of tights because I have given up on finding any. She has one pair...that is a capri jean that fits her as pants! Lilly is the opposite; I am not pushing potty training right now because her diaper is the only thing holding up her pants!

My 6yo is tall and thin, and I only buy her jeans at Children's Place. They have an adjustable waist and the quality is really good.

I have 2 skinny minnies (boy & girl) and 1 boy with the opposite problem. Jumping beans/Sonoma (from Kohls) and Old Navy work well for us.
I wish there were still a few places that had regular elastic waist (non-adjustable) slims. My 6-year old skinny hates the feel of adjustable waists, and it's almost impossible to find jeans without them these days. I think they have their merits and have always been good for my other 2, but they don't work at all for him. I have finally found some elastic waist non-slims that sort of work--I buy a size down for the waist which should be too short, but they still hang low enough at the waist that they end up being long enough.

My kids aren't "skinny" but Faded Glory brand at WalMart does a slim fit that fit really nice.

I buy Arizona jeans at JC Penny because they have the length that Aidan needs, but they also have an adjustable waist.
ETA: I didn't realize that Old Navy had adjustables waists, as well.

I haven't had good luck with Gymbo or Crazy 8 jeans for my skinny girls (boy ones are great though)
ON and Target are my faves with the adjustable waist...I buy slims as well but need the true size for the height..with the exception of T my girls are pretty tall and skinny

Gymboree has a slim's section that also have an adjustable waist, I've yet to see a girl skinnier than these. Problem is that they only start at size 4.
