Ummm.... errrr.....

Oh man. I am not an emotional person... I don't cry that often. I don't usually get embarrassed all that easily AND I'm not pregnant OR being visited by that once monthly "visitor." lol

So, I went to lunch and ordered a soda. I went and filled my cup and quickly learned that the cup had a hole in it and was leaking ALL OVER my tray of food. So, I went to the front counter and asked for a new cup and a new tray to put my food on. The lady brings me a new tray and put it on the counter next to me and I transferred my food over. Then a few seconds later the tray falls off the counter onto the floor... my food goes flying and the ceramic plate shatters. I was sooooo embarrassed. I was at lunch all alone and so I felt even more embarrassed since I had no friends there to help me out or laugh it off with me.

I, of course, feel AWFUL and try to clean up my mess, but the employees say they don't want me to get cut and to go sit down and they'll replace my food.

I feel the tears welling up... then an employee sees I'm a little upset and asks me if I'm okay. The tears start rolling! I have no idea why! It's such a silly thing to cry over and it wasn't really all my fault the food fell in the first place since the employee didn't really place my tray all the way on the counter.... and people are staring and employees are cleaning up my mess... "Are you okay... oh, don't cry, it's alright! Don't be embarrassed!!" But this only makes it worse and my efforts to stop the tears are unsuccessful... I felt like such a doofus. I wanted to just run out of the restaurant, but figured that would probably be more embarrassing... then I thought maybe I could go in the corner and die... but then I thought that would be a really bad way to leave the world... looking like a total ding dong! LOL!!!

On the bright side, I did see one of my guy friends from high school before all this happened and the first thing he said was "Wow, I never would have thought you were ever pregnant! You look great!" That was a nice confident boost when I feel so unsure of my post pregnancy body. hehe

ETA: Ummm... yeah, the day jsut got worse!! ACK! It was very hot today and I was wearing some dark jeans, so when I got home I took the jeans off (kept the shirt on though) to cool off.... so one of our close (male) friends came by about 10 minutes ago and just opened the door w/o ringing the doorbell... there i was just sitting on the couch in my shirt and underwear!!!! Oh goodness... today just isn't my day, is it??!?! lol Luckily, my undies are not revealing... hehe

Oh no!! I'm so sorry honey!! That kind of thing describes my everyday life. I fall going up the stairs, trip on my own feet and run into things on a daily basis. Its really ok and no one will remember it! I'm sorry it happened though!! Lots and lots of big to you!!

You know that you will laugh about this one day! I'm sorry you had such a bad lunch. I would have been embarrassed too, but I'm sure with people carrying trays -- they must see it ALL the time.

Now, the time my son projectile vomitted all over the carpet in the coffee shop -- THAT was an embarrassing moment!

OH man...lol...I know how that goes! I was carrying a kid in one arm and was trying to carry a full tray to my table where my MIL and other child were sitting, lol...but the stuff on the tray wasn't balanced and it ALL spilled on the floor. Soooo embarrassing!!

Oh, no! I'd have been embarassed too! I hate it when stuff like that happens to me! Retail therapy definately sounds like a good pick-me-up!!!
