Default Worlds worst mother/ hairdresser

I have just pretty much scalped my son.

I usually do a pretty good job cutting his hair, but I was so distracted today by the usual fuss when it comes to haircutting time, that I used the wrong setting on the clippers. BIG, HUGE ooops.

He has naturally nice thick hair, but now barely has enough fuzz to cover his scalp. I feel soooo bad about it - and even worse as my boy is being so nice about it!

Anyone else been there and done that?

oooops! my brother-in-law took my nephew to get his hair cut the other week and told them to use the '1' setting on the clippers instead of the '2' or '3' that they normally do ... my sister-in-law was so upset! (she almost cried each time she looked at him for a few days!) i thought he looked really cute though!! i love short hair on boys - especially in the summer and it grew out to a more "normal" length so quickly ... so i'm sure it will be fine in just a couple of weeks ...

at least your son is being good about it and now you'll have a funny story to scrap

So sorry about the bad haircut! My kids both have super straight hair and I have been cutting it for them their whole lives. And we have had more than a couple bad haircuts, too.

Don't feel too bad--at least it will grow back (eventually) and think what a great scrap opportunity this is!

I am waiting to see the pictures of before & after!

I used to trim my DD's bangs myself. Then once I did such a BAD job that when took her in to get if fixed they asked if she cut her own hair . Now she just gets a bang trim by the pros every two months.

That's ok, its summer and I am sure his hair grows fast. Boys always seem to have their hair grown out in like a month. We just shaved my boy's normally long hair to a short buzz cut. He still looks adorable and I am sure your boy does, too.

I don't have boys, but I have done a horrible job on triming bangs. I live it up to the pros from now on. Growing up I had 4 brothers and my dad always gave them the buzz cut for the summer.. I love a buzz cut on boys!
