Freaking out

So i've had this UTI for about a week now. i usually can beat it on my own but sometimes it won't go away so i went to this walk in clinic today and had a urine test done. sure enough, i do have an infection. i had a lot of problems with them as a kid and i still get them a few times a year. but they have gotten more stubborn the last few times. so todays urine test showed that i have high sugar in my urine too so i have to go back in a week to have another one to see if its still high. i've been researching it online and now i'm in a panic. it says it could mean diabetes; on my moms side there is a huge family history of it. or it could mean Chronic Kidney Disease, which considering all my past history of UTIs and Kidney infection, i'm freaking! so hopefully, in a week when i go back for another urine test, my sugar will be fine and it was just a fluke. Especially since i have no insurance!! postitive thoughts please!!!

Did you eat anything really sweet before your urine test? that can cause it to go all wonky sometimes.

I have UTI's quite alot too. I know how much a pain they can be so hope things will get better for you!!

i had ate a bowl of Cinnamon Life about an hour or so before i left, but then had to wait a bit to do the test too so it may have affected it.

Okay, first things first - never research a "possible" or "self-diagnosed" disease on the internet. Will absolutely freak anyone out! I'm sure you'll be fine. It's probably just elevated since you've had the infection for a while now. I have UTIs somewhat frequently too, and they're awful! Hope you get better soon!
