update on my hubby :)
Hey girls!
Just wanted to come in and thank you all again for the positive thoughts and prayers. I truly believe that having SO many people praying really really helped my husband get through. Things did not look so good at first... When the accident happened and we were at the clinic I was really scared  . Thankfully darcy had a great hand surgeon who was able to find away to save his fingers. We went back to the clinic yesterday to see the attending dr that was there when he first went in and the dr was quite surprised about how well things went. Darcy has been home since wednesday and I am just so happy and relieved to have him home. It was a very long two days having him at the hospital and not being able to be there with him He is doing really good all things considered. I think I spend more time telling him to get sit down than anything.. he has a bit of a hard time with not being able to do certain things and it bugs him a bit, I'm telling him to get used to it  haha. We go to calgary next week for them to have a look at it, get a new splint and I think the pins in his finger come out (not sure on that) and he will start the physio therapy. Thankfully we only have to go to calgary for the first couple times as it is quite aways away. Anyways just wanted to say thanks one more time because I honestly believe that without the prayers the outcome would have been so different.edited to add: just so there is no confusion (and well not that anyone really wants to know the icky details) none of his fingers were completely OFF but his pinky was quite close.. the accident happened with a table saw and his hand went in the saw at the knuckles.. so where the knuckles are is where he got cut and the knuckles broken etc.. I am actually quite curious to talk to his dr when we go see him because apparently they used cartilage from somewhere else to put in the pinky and well I'm interested in how they did it. haha

I am glad he is doing better and the surgeon was able to save his fingers!!!! That is awesome news!! I hope he has a speedy recovery!!!!!!
On a side note.....My dad used to work at a cabinet shop after he retired....a neighbor was working on cabinets and actually chopped off a few of his fingers with a big saw.....my dad had to go hunt for them!! EWWWWWWWW I am soooo glad that this didn't happend to your Hubby!!!!

Glad to hear they saved his fingers! My hubby got sever frostbite in one hand and it took him over a year to get used to the limited movement (especially in the winter) with his fingers. He couldn't hold anything in that hand for so long, it was really frustrating for him. But with physio and determination he's able to do so much more now.
Good luck with the recovery process, and stay strong! :-)
