An update on me

I'm sorry to have been such a downer in the SR thread.

My husband had surgery on thursday to remove the tumor. The type of cancer he has is extremely rare in humans. The drs don't know much about it and he is being treated in one of the gets hospitals around. The surgery was outpatient so he is recovering at home.

I'm struggling emotionally, no one ever wants to hear the C word.

I am so sorry to hear this, your family will be in my prayers. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, so I know a little of what you must be feeling.

You are not a downer! We want to know what is going on so we can support you and encourage you through this. No one ever wants to hear the "C" word. I have been there with both of my parents and happy to report they both are in remission. Two things helped me get through my emotional times.....1)Praying to God and 2) keeping a journal. I loved writing in my journal because I could write things down that I didn't feel like I could say out loud.

I will keep the both of you in my prayers!!!! Sending lots of virtual hugs your way!
