The year was: 2000
I was: 24 years old
I lived in: Midwest City, OK (I hated it....hubby owned a house there when we first got married and I was stuck living there for 5 years. Totally sucked)
My favorite movie: I watched a lot of movies at that point....had lots of favs.
My favorite thing to do: Honestly? Work or go out with friends. Wasn't the best time in our marriage at that point. I just wanted to stay away as much as possible to avoid arguments.
My biggest fear: Being stuck in an unhappy marriage and never leaving Midwest City.

(the good news is the following year, everything turned around for us and we have been happy ever since! )

It has been happily every after since...well most of the time

Stacy, parts of MWC are not bad. Where we were at was BAD. No exaggeration. I lovely refer to it as the ghetto and it WAS (it is even worse now). I hated the house, it was gross and has so many fix up issues that neither of us knew how to take care of. It was the house I moved into when we got married so I didn't feel like I had a choice in it. It just wasn't part of my "dream" of growing up and getting married. Not to mention that Steve was working nights as a police officer and I was left in a scary neighborhood with my step daughters (8 and 6 at the time) every night. Seriously.....it was so ghetto that Steve couldn't leave the in his uniform because our neighbors didn't like cops and would retaliate. I was SO thankful to leave.

And I realize that I sound like a spoiled brat and expected life on a silver platter........that is partially true (at the time) but I swear it was THAT bad. Reality just really bit me in the hiney! LOL

LOL I was just curious! The only part of MWC I've been to is Tinker AFB for the air show, and the Steak 'n Shake & Target center across I-40

And Jenni---glad you have gotten past a lot of your fear! DH works for Fed Ex so I was really curious

It's a really long story, but I've been afraid of Fed Ex for ages. It started as a joke. I accidentally ran into a Fed Ex machine while walking and broke it. On our way home, a Fed Ex truck was on it's route and followed us most of the way home. My family joked "Uh oh! They're after you!" After that, for two weeks, every time we would go anywhere, at some point during our outing, there would be a Fed Ex truck following us for at least part of the time.

I became convinced they actually WERE after me... it got to the point where I couldn't see a Fed Ex truck without shaking, wouldn't open the door for them, etc.

Now, it doesn't bother me as much, but it seriously was an issue for me for quite some time. It sounds silly, especially because it started as a joke, but I was honestly terrified of Fed Ex.

I didn't know you were a Cardinal, LW!

The year was: 2000
I was: 20 (one of my favorite years in my life, actually)
I lived in: off campus in a townhouse in Lafayette, IN with my two BFFs (Go Boilers!)
My favorite movie: We were superobsessed with 'Drive Me Crazy' with Melissa Joan Hart and Adrian Grenier. We ALL had every line memorized and would watch and recite it in unison. *lol*
My favorite thing to do: hang out with my clique doing whatever, karaoke/dance competitions in the master bedroom of the townhouse, rub it in that I had a four day weekend every week (back-to-back classes on Tu and Th only), may have had my job at Fashion Bug aka The Thug by then, feeling like I was 'so grownup' :P
My biggest fear: never having a boyfriend
