Default Healthy in 2012 Club: week 02/25 - 03/03

Sorry for slacking on this! I am waiting until the water retention and bloating from surgery goes away before I weigh myself this week.

I am going to start walking tomorrow, it is the best I can do until I am cleared for exercise. And I am back to logging my food starting tomorrow!

I'm down 17 and a half pounds on my new plan, 58lb down altogether since March last year.

I have totally slacked on the gym the past 2 weeks, I'm kicking myself for not going much and need a boost to get my bum back there, I AM going to go on Tuesday no matter what the weather, I will wear normal clothes and get changed there if it's raining!!

I'm looking forward to when new puppy is allowed out after her needles so we can go for nice walks each day!

I'll update later in the week with my gym progress!!

Hope you feel better soon Jenn. Remember not to overdo.

I am doing good, I think. The weight loss is coming along, over 29 lbs since Jan 1st, so now it is time to get moving more. I am going to increase my activity this week, mostly walking right now and trying to stay warm while doing so. I've done well with my goal of cutting out salt, but I am still a slacker on my water intake. I really need to work more at that one as well.

I have to approach this whole thing one step at or time or I will be completely overwhelmed. When I think of how much total weight I need to lose, I get so sad and discouraged, so I try not to think of it and concentrate on the little steps along the way instead. So far it's working for me.

That!

I'm stuck right now. My total since September is 70 pounds but the scale didn't move this week. I was really sick last week and my body is trying to get back to normal. Now that I can take deep breaths I am going to start back walking and exercising. I deep cleaned the boy's room this morning and now my thighs are burning. I made sure every time I need to bend down that I did a squat instead of leaning over.

I agree, don't over do it Jenn.

I've stalled on the scale but the inches keep dropping. I tried on some 7 year old jeans last night and they fit. I was so excited. I decided today to treat myself to some new music on my ipod for tonight's Week 5 in C25K. Friday I'm suppose to do a 20 min run straight. I'll admit I'm scared shitless.

I did it! I went for a walk. I only made it 1 mile, still feeling a little tired and blah...but I am happy I am trying to get back to my old routine after surgery.

I am down 60 lbs since Jan. 9 and have submitted all my paperwork for my gastric bypass. The tentative date (pending insurance approval and acceptable lab results) is Mar. 27. I am SO excited to get this going!

Wow....the weight loss numbers you girls are posting are phenomenal. Way to go everyone!

I am up 6 lbs. since returning from my cruise but started back in working out yesterday after 2 1/2 weeks of not working out. I have pretty much been stuck where I am for a couple of months. I know exactly why though. I work pretty hard in the gym and then I blow it with my eating. I have got to get my eating under control. I am still down 30 lbs. overall and I stay proud of that. My body changes are amazing though and I feel sexier than I have in 4 1/2 years. I can't believe how much less jiggle and dimples there are on my legs and booty.

I did 30 mins on the treadmill, 30 on the elliptical and toning exercises yesterday and today I did 45 mins on the elliptical.

Neenee, your exercise routine blows me away! I am dying after about 40 mins of exercise. My main goal is to be "fit"....of course looking hot rocks too. LOL

I agree Jenn! Fit is the reason, looking hot is the bonus!

My lbs has been hovering around the same lb give or take it for three weeks but I'm still pushing forward as the inches have been dropping off.

I wanted to share a recipe incase anyone is looking for a sweet treat. My dd's 5th birthday is in a couple weeks so I'm gonna try making these-

35-40 calorie cupcakes (sprite cakes is what my husband has nicknamed them)-
1 box of cake mix (I normally use Funnetti it has the sprinkles in it) (calorie count varies on brand of cake mix!)
1 can of soda (I use about 14 or 16 oz so I buy a 2 liter sprite zero)
Mini cupcake paper

add the sprite or your drink of choice to the cake mix and mix well... spoon the mixture into your mini cupcake sheets and bake. Makes at least 48

I am just getting back on the wagon - haven't been terrible as such but this week has been crazy and will continue to be. Normally would like to do 3 gym sessions a week, this week I will be lucky to do 2 since a friend of mine which I haven't seen in 18 months is seeing me on the only day both her and I are available
