Default Up!

We're going to see this tonight with the kids...in 3D! We bought the tickets online last night and the kids are SO excited...I'm looking forward to it as well (it'll be nice to have some normal family time).

Anyone else looking forward to seeing it?

I want to see this!

Libby, I love that idea! My kids are out on Tuesday at 1:00. Maybe that's what we should do!

We're doing the 3-D one Saturday morning. I'm wondering if my 2 1/2 yr. old will keep the glasses on.

Okay, so... I NEVER get to go to the movies because I have an 11 month old, a 2 year old and no sitter... I hate taking the kids to the movies because I don't want to be... "One of those people"

I found a place that shows a movie every couple of weeks that is toddler friendly!!! They have changing stations and they leave the lights low so we can still see our little ones and they keep the volume lowered so it's not overwhelming on little ears. The public gets to vote what movie they show during toddler time and this time they're showing Up! next week!!

I'm SO EXCITED!! The little ones are allowed to get down and run around the theater and it's totally okay!

Did you get to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D? I went in thinking it was going to be the blue and red glasses and wasn't thrilled because that gives me a headache. But the new 3D is really cool and I totally forgot that I had the glasses on until something came at me from the screen!

I can't wait to see this movie!!! I mean, my almost 4 year old son can't wait! I love all of the Disney/Pixar movies!!!!!

What I especially can't wait for is Ice Age 3, though! It's coming out in July so we're going to take our son to see it on his birthday- his first theatre movie!!! He loves Ice Age & dinosaurs, and this Ice Age is about dinosaurs!!!! Yay!!!!

We'll probably take the kids next weekend. Payday's not until Monday, lol!

I'm with Dawn--I'd rather see the 2D version. We did see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D and the glasses were so small they made my head hurt. I don't need that kind of torture, lol.

We'll see it but not in 3D. We saw MvsA and 2 year old wouldn't keep the glasses on and I had a headache afterwards. It just wasn't worth the extra $3 a pop IMHO! The animation of all these new movies is just gorgeous anyway!

It looks cute - we are debating whether our almost-2 year old would behave enough to let us go see it...

Just got home from seeing it in 3D. I loved it! I also loved the previews of G Force and Toy Story 3 which were also in 3D. My 3.5 year old loved it. He didn't keep the glasses on the whole time, but did great otherwise. This was his first movie in the theater so we weren't sure how it would go. I liked that this movie was interesting for all ages. I would definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed it too!! I'm not sure we'll do the 3D thing again...it wasn't what either DH or I expected and the kids didn't want to wear the glasses after about halfway through the movie, lol.

The movie itself was super cute, though...and the short at the beginning was SO funny (like all Pixar shorts, lol).

Yeah...surprisingly enough dh wants to see it...he hardly ever goes to the movies. But I guess we saw enough previews of the movie while we were at Walt Disney World that he decided it would be fun to see it.

Personally I'd like to see that 3D Bugs Life show again at Animal Kingdom!

I can't wait. We won't do 3-D cause the girls are young & I don't really see the appeal, but it's next on our list.

We went & saw Night @ the Museum 2 a few weekends ago & my girls LOVED it.

That sounds cool. Other thing to think about is a drive-in. It's one of our fave places to go.

Oh I didn't know about Ice Age 3 coming out! Awesome...hopefully it won't be too hot and we can see it at the drive-in this summer...that makes Harry Potter and Ice Age 3 in July!

We're SO taking the kids to see Ice Age 3...we took them to the theater to see IA2, so we'll definitely be taking them to see this one, too!

We are going to take the girls to see it too, but we'll just see it in 2D cause our theaters here charge an extra $3 per ticket for 3D which is outrageous considering the price of the movie tickets to begin with! Ice Age 3 looks really cute too so we'll see it too I'm sure!

We saw it this last weekend while DH was gone. It was really good.
Unfortunately they only had the 3D here in town. When IA3 and TS3 come out we may have to take a special trip somewhere just to watch it in 2D! My 2.5 year old does not wear the glasses and I don't want to pay the extra money for the headache they give me!

Default See UP! in 3D or 2D?

Who has seen this...should we see it in 2D or 3D? Just wondering how good it was in 3D...it does cost more to see it that way.

Was thinking it would be fun to see at the drive-in.

Thanks!

Sharon, if you've seen a 3D show at Disney, you've been spoiled for enjoying a 3D movie in a theater. We went into it expecting there to be things popping out at us and stuff - but it totally wasn't like that...it was like 3D behind glass. Contained. It was a cool effect, but just not what we were expecting.

Though my husband saw Beowulf 3D and said it was more like what you expect 3D to be, with things flying into the audience, etc. But from the previews of the other animated 3D movies (Toy Story 3, G-Force, etc) they were the same as Up.

Okay - we're so spoiled. We see first run movies all t he time for $3.25. But to see Up! in 3D, it's $8 /ticket. Is it worth $32?
