Default What's annoying right now?

This stupid summer cold...because sweating all day isn't enough torture so let's add a stuffy nose and watery eyes to it.

That's my venting for the day...what's yours?

Right now? My ds will NOT stay away from his iPod because my dh let him friggin' 'jail break' it. I didn't know that 'jail breaking' meant you can dl every app for free. Not only does this sound wrong to me, he's on it even MORE than usual.

The pool... oh where to begin on the pool.

It's one of those Intex easy set pools, with the poles, not the blow up ring. It's been various shades of green since mid July when temps started hitting the 90s daily. The pump keeps getting air in it somehow & I have to assume it's leaking water, since the water level drops below the intake valve (2 feet) whenever we refill the pool.

But I can find no evidence of a leak. Losing 2 feet of water in about 2 days ought to at least leave some dampness somewhere wouldn't you think?

It's been driving me nuts for weeks now!

Stacy, if the leak is in the bottom and towards the middle, it might be seeping into the ground under the pool. Then you'd have no evidence of the leak elsewhere.

My darling husband. He's taken charge of ordering shirts for our family trip to Ireland. We want green shirts. He just called to ask me what color I wanted. I said, "green". He said, "well, what kind of green". So I asked if there was a swatch online or something, so I could pick which green. 10 minutes later, he's mad that he has to email the guy to ask for swatches and that I'm being "so difficult". Excuse me for not wanting to end up with effing lime green shirts.

Also, I'm aware the hormones may be blowing this anger out of proportion. LOL!

My out of control downloads folder. I've been good about unzipping my digial purchases and "putting them away", but all the other little things have been piling up. It's a real mess!

my new haircut. I hate it. And I hate that I didn't argue harder not to pay for it. Took me 2 years to grow it out...and now I have to start all over. I'm not even vain about my hair..but ugh - it made me cry.

My husband. He has been giving me a really hard time lately about volunteering at church. I do 2 and a half hours on Monday & 5 hours on Wednesday (but my mom drives me so I have dinner with her and then do bible study so I don't get home until 7:30/8pm). He thinks I'm wasting my time and spending way too much time at the church. This is the last week for VBC. I don't see why its such a big deal now.

here's my work vent...
the heat at work. ugh. it is stifling.
having to be at work.
my stupid boss who is on vacation yet still on his computer - even though he said he wasn't going to be.
interns that make meetings on the 1/2 hour so it wrecks two whole hours of your day.

Not much reasons for venting right now (*knocks on wood*) except my limitless ability to clutter my place... And even though I took a day off today to de-clutter and managed to get up early, I haven't done much so far (it's 3 pm by now)... Honestly, wasting away a day of vacation like this is a proof of foolishness beyond measure!

Other than that, I'm annoyed by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix... Reeading all 7 of them and the same thing is happening as years ago - love the first four, am bored to tears by the fifth... Why oh why did she try to turn charming kiddo books into a teenageomance-meets-everything-but-fun-fantasy-saga thing? :-(

Me. I am annoying myself. I'm so worried about the logistics of my daughter going to kindergarten, which is 2 years away!! We have preschool all figured out, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do about kindergarten. Hmm.

The weather. The highs have been in the low 50s for weeks. And we've had about 10 days with sun since June 1st. It's depressing. The kids are wrecking my house because they can't get outside. I need the sun!

Where to start? It's been that kind of summer so far. Mostly my kids, who need me EVERY SINGLE MINUTE. Someone's hungry, someone needs to be changed or taken to the bathroom, someone is hitting/being mean to/taking toys from someone else....argh! It's all made 10x worse by me feeling overwhelmed by all the other things I need to do that have deadlines but that I don't have time or help to do.

I just sat the kids down in front of a video, gave myself this 5 minute computer break, and now have to go get to work.

My family.
I'm in charge of planning our big Ireland trip. People gave me things they wanted to do (Waterford Crystal, the Giants Causeway, Guiness, etc). We're also going to go to the town/area where my grandfather was born and lived.
So I finally nail the itinerary this weekend with Jordan's help. I send it to my family today. I set aside a whole day to spend in the area where my grandfather lived. My dad says that's not enough time and he wants 2 days. There was no mention of this prior. Now I look like some a-hole who's ignoring our heritage to see the rest of Ireland. We only have 9 days and I made an itinerary that captures the entire country. But that's not good enough. BAH!

Amanda, why don't you set it to run overnight once a week? Like leave your computer on sunday night and let it run overnight so it's done by the morning?

I got a sunburn at the lake yesterday. My lips are swollen, my forehead tender, and my shoulders bright red. Shirts with one strap may result in very funky tan lines.

Laundry laundry laundry! I will be so glad when the boys go back to school and only wear one set of clothes a day.

I have a couch full of clean laundry waiting to be folded. Bleh! Then I have to put the boy's names on every stinking school supply. Yes, that is every pencil and crayon and glue stick. Every. Little. Thing.

The movers are here today to pack us up for the big move to New Mexico. Problem is - it's not movers (plural). They only sent one guy! I wanted to be done early enough to go to the fair with my family, but ... I'm not sure that one, lone (somewhat oldish) guy is gonna be done it time!!! *sigh**grumble-grumble*

The clutter that is consuming every last corner of my house, and the lack of skills to organize what needs to be kept and toss out the rest.

Oh, and the never-ending heat wave that's going to get worse before it ever gets better.

The hum of the cotton gin a few street over. It isn't loud (thankfully we are far enough away) but is a constant hum we will hear for the next couple months.
