Default Question about December Daily

I like the idea of doing this, but in all honesty we don't do something related to Christmas every day during December. Cheyanne has school of course every day, and she's in Jr. High, so she's loaded down with homework every night plus 2 basketball teams with practices every night or a game. I work every day plus everyday chores of cooking, cleaning, etc.

So, the question is, does everyone's December Daily have a Christmas related photo/journaling each day? Or do you incorporate everyday life into this album along with the Christmas photos? We do lots of things during December that are related to Christmas, but not EVERY day.

For ours, on the days we aren't doing Christmas related stuff, I've got a list of journaling prompts about christmas traditions and memories that I'll be using, plus including pics of our everyday life.

Oh that's a good idea Jenn - I could journal about things we did when her dad was alive too. She likes to have me tell her stories about him so I can add some Christmas stories for her.

Yeah, I've got a prompt for a list of our favorite childhood christmas stories, etc. I think it should be a lot of fun, and its a great way to get these stories down that needed to be told.

Ali Edwards has a blog post up with ideas for DD, but in a Digishow episode she mentioned that she herself is not going to put ALL holiday-themed stories because inevitably there'll be trips to the dentist, etc etc I do love her ideas, though!

I mix stuff up... from the everyday to journaling and all sorts of stuff... I was hugely pregnant last year and had lots of appts so last year was a lot about those NSTs and OB appts and journaling about this being our last Christmas as a family of 4 and journaling about not traveling or visiting family and stuff like that... For me it's kind of like A Week In The Life, only I use Christmas kits to decorate it LOL.

Plus, my ADD mind just can't come up with and execute a daily activity LOL... so it's definitely more about the everyday stuff and journaling...

I think the point of DD is to document YOUR December whether that's scrapping the everyday or whether you're the kind of person who does an activity every day... you make it what YOU want it to be.

Definitely check out that post by Ali that was mentioned. I doesn't HAVE to be only Christmas. It's whatever you want it to be (just like any other project or album). Make it work for you. If you have a day where something sparks a memory or a story to tell, scrap about that! As long you're making memories and telling stories and scrapping things, it doesn't matter that your DD is different from mine or anyone else's.

For me... December means end of school year, Christmas, and going on holiday. I am more interested in documenting my month of December than making it all holiday related.

Thanks ladies! I realize that it's mine and I can do it however I want - LOL - but I was thinking it would seem strange to do a Christmas themed book with everyday things in it - obviously no one thinks that would be strange! Maybe doing the DD will motivate me to do P52 for next year
