Reassure me: c-sections

I'd love to hear some positive stories about c-sections!

My other three kids were born with no complications whatsoever -- they were uncomplicated deliveries and I didn't have time for epidurals or pain medicine. In this case, we're now looking at a planned induction at 37 weeks or before because of an umbilical blood flow issue, and a c-section is a very real possibility if the induction doesn't go well, or if the blood flow issue worsens significantly in the next couple of weeks.

I'm honestly freaked out about a c-section. I've done some reading on the recovery process and it scares me. I have three young kids at home, so I can't imagine having the luxury of 6-8 weeks just to recover without lifting anything heavier than the baby. Not to mention the fact that this baby will have some special needs -- I'm overwhelmed just thinking about it.

So -- tell me your positive c-section stories!
