Hi
I was planning to do my Project Life as a hybrid project. Arrange the pictures, papers and embellishment at the computer and afterwards print it (or some of it) at my homeprinter. Normally I would use Photoshop ![]() I have Indesign CS5, too. I don’t know this program at all, but are willing to learn. I read some blogs where people use Indesign as kind of ‘sketchbook’ and plan the PL layout. And the print photos e.g. afterwards. And it should be very easy to do that in stead of Photoshop. But I just can’t see the advance using Indesign. But if it could make my workflow easier, I would like to use it. Are any of you using Indesign? Do you know any tutorials how to use it basically?, links to blogs e.g. Do you have any experience – pro and con – with Indesign? Hope to be wiser ![]()

I use InDesign regularly, but not for scrapping. I could see it being useful for laying out album pages because all the pages are in one document and you can set up master pages that are used multiple times in the same album. It would be a great time saver for that kind of thing.
However, it is VERY different from Photoshop, and I almost think it would take so much time to figure out how to use it that you would lose any time you were saving. If you've never used it, I'd probably say to stick with what you know. Unless you really want to learn something new. InDesign is a great product for prepress design work.
