The movie theater in this podunk town I live in doesn't even have surround sound, so I prefer to get PPV on my Dish! LOL

We go when there is a good kids film that the girls want to see. We go as a family & make a date of it.

As far as Andy & I going for a date - it's rare. Like REALLY RARE. We'd rather spend our time talking and enjoying a quiet moment in a book store, over coffee or a drink than in a movie theater.

The last movie we saw as a Family was - How to Train Your Dragon. We LOVED LOVED it.
The last movie Andy & I saw was Werewolf or Wolfman on Valentine's Day this year. We splurged and saw it on the Ultra screen. It was enjoyable.

I go maybe 6 times a year or something. Usually with the kids, or with my friends if it's a girly movie that SO doesn't want to see. I go with SO maybe once a year or something, we usually wait until it's out on DVD and then rent it.

I did get a shock the other day though, I took DD to see Alice in Wonderland, it's the first 3D movie I've been to, and the tickets were $23 each. And no child discount because it was 3D. I'll be seeing 2D movies from now on I think It wasn't even at the Imax - just regular 3D

LOL the last movie I saw in the theater was Transformers (the first one not the second) and only because my brother treated us for DHs birthday. DH has been to a few with friends and took DD to see Hannah Montana last year but it really is a rare treat. We netflix it up however every chance we get. I have a really hard time paying the prices.

When my DH is here, we go quite a bit. We usually go on Sunday to a matinee which is a little cheaper, but the local theater here also offers a military price so I think that makes the regular price about equal to the matinee price. My DH loves the popcorn so we usually get a large Sprite and a medium popcorn to share. I think it's like $30 total for the two of us when we go.

I did see How to Drain Your Dragon in 3D last weekend and it was sooooo cute. Loved it.

We rarely go out to the movies as a family because it's so expensive with the five of us. Sometimes DH and I will go if we can get the grandparents to watch the kids (usually like for our anniversary in August we saw the Hangover) and sometimes he will go to a movie with his Dad & brothers or co-workers. We do have a small theater at our mall that is $5/ticket for all shows (mostly show kids/family movies) and I take the girls there occasionally.

The kids and I did go see How to Train Your Dragon on Easter but that was a special treat from my stepmom otherwise I wouldn't have paid lol! The 3D tickets were $12/adults & $10/kids 3 & up (matinees aren't much cheaper at $10ea). My stepmom had to pay for Kyle even though he won't be 3 til May otherwise he wouldn't have got the 3D glasses and the movie would have been blurry for him! But they don't have smaller glasses for the little kids so they wouldn't stay on his face even with the styrofoam spacers on them For as much as you pay they should have glasses made to fit the younger kids instead of one size for everyone!

We rarely go too. It's so expensive and the baby is almost 2 so too young to go. I did go with a friend to see Alice a few weeks ago; before that I think the last movie I saw in the theater was New Moon. I have a friend that likes to go to the movies so sometimes we'll go on a Sat. afternoon, but that's just every few months or so. I prefer to watch them at home.

Having an Imax/3D theater within 6 min of my house (since we moved in January) has changed out viewing habits. I finally told my man the other day ENOUGH is enough! LOL! We have seen far too many movies with it being so close.

We go to Costco, get the 'cheap' tickets and then just pay the $2 extra at the door, per person.

All that being said, I am not going to put my foot down on movie going until I have seen Clash. Period.

We go probably once a month, but it's always kids movies at the matinee prices. DH and I did go see Avatar on a date night, but I don't think we had been to see a movie just us for probably something like 2 years before that!
