Default Pet hair removal things..

lol I think i've made a post like this before
but it's different this time ^_^ ...

so you know, I have the cat.. and the bunny. Things have been under control for a while- till mr bunny decided he was going to go into a heavy... I mean heavy molt. For some reason i didn't realize that bunnies like did this in one big chunk- I thought they were like cats and just shed annoyingly all the time

anyway.. has anyone used like the pledge pet hair thing? or something like that? Anything? My couch is getting covered daily with *large* chunks of bunny fur and would love something quick and easy- that doesn't require 500 sheets of sticky paper, or a brush that when i clean all the fur goes flying again anyway..you know

When we had a cat, DH bought a yellow hair thingy... it looked like a mini squeegy. You just rub it over the couch and carpet, and it pulls hair off (and out of it, if the hair is weaved into the fibers). When you are using it, it pulls the hair and keeps it in lines, and makes it easy to pick up, without hair flying around.

I have had rabbits and never had this issue. The only time we had that happen is with a rabbit we found on the side of the road which was pregnant. She pulled all her fur out of her tummy to make a nest for the babies. I have a fur reemover brush which is like a textured velvet texture and it works on my sons bed who is a neat freak and goes over his bed every night to get the kitty fur off. It works on my black pants too. My BFF bought it for me because I was going through so many of those sticky fur remover things. I think she bought it at the dollar store? Anyhow I love it. It works really well as long as you brush in the right direction LOL. Go in the opposite direction and it deposits all the fur right back on whatever you were cleaning. I have also seen those things Jaedyn is talking about in my grovery store. Ive never tried them but they are relatively inexpensive. Like 2-3 dollars I think.

one thing I did when I used to run out of those sticky tape things is to wrap my hand with duct tape (cause its a million times stickier LOL) and just brush my hand over it and since duct tape is pretty cheap that might be something you could do in a pinch.

I use just a plain ole lint brush for my cat and bunny hair. I have a Dutch rabbit and she is going through another molt now as well, apparently they do this several times a yr.

Thats the thing I was talking about Amanda - glad you found a picture because I had NO idea what it was called, lol! I would have ended up googling "pet hair squeegy thingy" or something, hahaha!

It worked really good!

I LOVE and I mean LUV the Pledge hair remover. I have two cats and one dog that are constantly shedding and it's the only thing that has really worked to remove their hair off the couch and the bed comforter. I would marry the Pledge things if I could!

I got the Costco pack, and to tell you the truth I'm only on my second one and that was over 2 months ago. You'd be surprised how much those suckers can put in. If it gets a little full I just push down a little harder when I do the back and forth and that works. The trick is the right amount of pressure and short quick strokes, but you kind of have to hear the rotor things move. If you don't, you aren't pushing down hard enough.

I have this Bissell Pethair Eraser Corded Handheld Vac:

http://www.amazon.com/Bissell-Eraser.../dp/B001EYFQ28

Check out the reveiws on amazon! The thing is AMAZING! I got mine for $50 CDN at Sears. Best money I've ever spent! My couch was like yours, covered in hair. Now I leave the vac plugged in behind my sofas and use it to touch up all the time. It picks up hairs quickly and easily, is a breeze to empty and has a super long cord so I can do all my sofas without having to find a new outlet (or running out of battery power as so often happened with my cordless vac).
