Dh doesn't like sitting elbow to elbow with either grown women or pre teen girls who cry when Jacob takes off his shirt, so we skipped the midnight showings this year and went and saw it 11 am friday morning, thinking most kids would be in school - nope. Lots of parents kept their kids out of school for it, and someone even brought a crying infant into the theater. A bit frustrating.

I did like it. I'm always a little annoyed when certain things are left out, and I do think the books are better, but I still love the movies. I didn't have many complaints about this one except when the wolves get together and have their argument. I didn't like the way they voiced their telepathy(or whatever you call it)... I know it has to be voiced or you won't hear it, but I thought the screamy-echoey was massively cheesy. I think it would have had a more dramatic impact if they'd left it to whispers or just a lower voice. But that's just me

The ending scene was of the Volturi and is a look ahead to the next movie.

I LOVED the movie but agree that there were some really lame parts. But over all it was awesome!

I was dissapointed they didn't have more of the "Jacob" part of the book. I really wanted the part where he drove to Seattle to be in there. I get it really doesn't need to be there, but still...

It was good, not Oscar-worthy, but good I want to see the next part NOW!

Saw it with a girlfriend of mine. We see all of them together. I'm not that big of a Twi-hard, but it's fun to have some girl time and see pretty boys

I DID miss the last scene after the credits. Wish I had known that!

I actually saw it twice...once Friday morning and then a friend of mine needed someone to go with and I saw it again Saturday night.

I really liked it. I know going into them that it's going to be kinda cheesy, but that just goes with the series. I loved that there were some really funny parts and how they made the honeymoon so awkward at first because it was totally Bella.

Loved it!!

I was completely disappointed with the first 30 minutes. Even the wedding was just meh for me. I didn't care for the part with the wolves "talking" and could have done without the gratuitous action scenes (the vamps defending the house from the wolves, Carlisle, Esme & Emmett being chased through the forest). But I thought they did an amazing job portraying Bella's pregnancy and the wasting away it did to her body so overall I liked it.

Oh, and I was completely disappointed that we didn't get to see Rosalie bending the bowl into a dog bowl shape for Jacob to eat from. That was one of my favorite parts in the book. LOL

I went to the midnight showing with some GFs with a showing of Eclipse beforehand at 9:30. It was lots of fun! I also thought there were some cheesy parts but I have to say I really liked the wolf pack discussion. Their mannerism and intensity were very much like real dog/wolf behavior IMO. It's amazing to see how much the cinematography and score have improved from Twilight.

I laughed when Bella needed her "human minutes" when they got to their honeymoon destination and then she needed to shave her legs. Like she didnt already do that before the wedding???

The only part I thought was lame was the wolf pack talking with each other but I dont know how you could portray that otherwise. But yes- my favorite of the movies so far!!!!

Totally this!! I agree about the wolves talking; that was a bit cringe-worthy. It's definitely my fave movie of the series so far. Oh, and I'm SO mad I missed the extra scene after the credits. Bummer!

I LOVED it. I totally agree about knowing it's gonna be a bit cheesy. And definitely agree about the wolf talking.

But overall I loved it. I can't wait to see the next one.

See, I liked it, but I guess I should read the book again, because I feel like there isn't enough of the story left for a second half of the movie.

We saw it Thursday at 6pm, our friend got us tickets to a premiere, which was really cool!

I ::loved:: how they did the wedding, imprinting and the transformation, and the ending. Loved Seth and Leah. Edward's makeup was MUCH better in this movie and he looked great, and of course Jacob always looks great. Bella was pretty, as well.

I didn't love the cheesy wolf scene, Carlisle's bad hair, all the blood and gore with Bella (although that is true to the book, it was just gross!), how the honeymoon stuff went on and on (I worry about all the tweens watching those scenes), I didn't like Bella's wedding dress - I thought her post wedding dress and hair were much prettier than her wedding getup, and I wish there had been more Cullen's in the story, they are such cool characters!

Overall, I think they did an excellent job with the movie, but I didn't love it, mostly because I don't love part 1 of Breaking Dawn in the first place, not my favorite story. However, I am very excited to see part 2, I think it will be really cool!

I did catch the scene at the end with the Volturi and it was cool, I was glad we happened to not be in a hurry to leave, usually we always are, lol!

I saw it today and I really wasn't impressed at all. I don't think there was a need for 2 movies it seemed like the whole time I was just waiting for it to get to the next part. I was happy it was like the books but apart from that I was just like meh. I easily could have waited for it to come out on DVD x
