When that becomes a problem at our house, we then spend time practicing putting it into the hamper/basket, because obviously its a skill we've forgotten and need to relearn Usually, 25 times gets it right!

Same goes for slamming the toilet seat. If you can't close it properly, obviously its a skill we need to relearn

I'm SUCH a mean mommy.

Andrew got rid of the hampers. Now the clothes is strewn about even more than it was before. Things get rewashed because we never know if it's clean or dirty.

This sounds just like what my brother does. He plays a game called "Take 5." He pretends he's running a movie camera and "films" his kids taking their dishes from the table to the sink, for example: Take 1. And, he narrates as he's "filming." Then, he gets their dishes, puts them back on the table and they do it all over again: Take 2. And, they keep going till they've done five takes.

I've never actually done this, but every time I think about watching my brother doing it with his kids, I think I should start.

Ok so what do you do when it's your husband? There are times I can't get in the bathroom bc of his dirty clothes. Do I make him practice? Lol. He'd kill me. Ha!

No - but sometimes they end up back on his side of the bed to do again We've had a talk, before, how I'm not his maid. I do his laundry, but I don't pick up after him, and it's a sign of disrespect, to me, for him to toss his stuff around and expect me to pick it up.

Doesn't mean it works, but it does for awhile LOL

this is exactly what I say, I wash your clothes, i iron them and put them away I will NOT be your maid and pick up after you. Luckily enough his side of the bed you cant see when you walk through the bedroom door so I cant see it. he does pick them up eventually when he cant get into bed because of all the clothes in his way

Well, I'm a mean mommy too! Slamming doors drives me nuts...so my older DS has to open and close it 10 times until he can learn to do it right!
