Default Do you use Groupon?

I just recently learned about them and got a couple really great deals so I thought I'd share. The deals vary by your city and seem to be more for local businesses which I really like.

I am starting a boot camp tonight that I purchased through them, 8 sessions for $18! And yesterday I bought my littles 2 90 minute cooking classes for $15 each. Other days are stuff I just flat won't use like today was for dry cleaning.

Groupon

I'd love to hear if anyone else loves them.

I love Groupon! I monitor both Houston and Seattle since I know that I will be spending time in both areas. While I do agree that at times there are things I would never buy, they have some awesome deals when it is something I use or would use. For Christmas, I bought some fun gifts online with Groupon and my friends had a blast using their items.

I'd never heard of that! The deal of the day for my area is HYSTERICAL though. Read this description. I need those people writing my kit descriptions for sure!

Portland Bicycle Tours
With the arrival of spring, people everywhere are sawing cars in half or affixing an extra warm-weather wheel to the family unicycle. Quench summertime thirst for two-wheeled action with today's deal: for $19, you get a two-hour River City Bridge bike tour from Portland Bicycle Tours, a $40 value. Bicycles, locks, and helmets are provided for those who forget their own or normally use imaginary equipment.

Rolling out bikes outfitted with rocket launchers and overdrive, Portland Bicycle Tours is the city’s oldest bike-tour company with experienced guides who prefer bipedals to bipeds and know the area like the back of a hand doubling as an unsanctioned cheat sheet. Regardless of your shape, size, or time dimension, a winsome fleet of two-wheeled rubber burners is gearing up to guide riders. During the River City Bridge Tour, pedal through the sound barrier, causing windows to smash all along the East Bank. There will be a quick pause at the bridge for some scenic snapshots and carefree bungee bicycling. The tour continues across the Willamette River to the roads of West Side and Old Town, where public art displays, parks, and swaying trees compete for the attention of your bucking mechanical beast.

Aside from a passion for human power over gas power, Portland Bicycle Tours bares its green soul through the usage of recycled bikes, materials, and tour guides made from old tour guides. The casually paced tour is welcoming to cyclists of all aptitudes. Since you probably won't get tired, feel free to reward your bike for its hard work and let it ride you for a stretch of the journey. Should the baby clouds overhead drool on your parade, free rain gear is available for use during the tour.

It just recently started up in my area so there haven't been too many deals posted, but today's deal is an awesome discount on a portrait session (including 4 digital negatives) from a local photographer that I would love love to take advantage of...too bad payday isn't until Thursday and we are short on cash until then otherwise I would totally be doing it!

This is the first that I've heard of them... and the closest area for me is Milwaukee, which is only 2 hours away, but not a place we spend a ton of time in. There are a few in my own area that does the same thing... shopdailydeals.com and rtownshopper.com We use them a lot...

Bummer. The closest to me is northern Virginia. They have a young chef coupon today but it's an hour & a half away and I can't figure out the day or time of the classes.

Ours has only been going about a week (Shawna and I live in the same area), but yesterday it was $20 in frosted sugar cookies for $10. It's already my favorite place anyway, so I jumped all over it. I thought about doing the photographer thing, but passed. I want more than 4 digital negatives. Hoping for some good restaurants soon.

I messed around and missed out on a house cleaning one! I'm totally kicking myself too, we are having company this weekend and it would have been nice to have someone come do the deep stuff!

An added bonus to the groupon deal on the boot camp I started last night. He regularly charges $179 for 8 sessions (I wonder who pays that though??) and we got the groupon for $18 for 8 sessions. He offered us another 8 for $89. Its kind of pricey but the class size was small and I got a lot out of it so I think I'll do that!
