Oh acckkk! This sublimation printer that our team has has whacked with my printer settings ... even when I change it back to MY OWN Epson printer ... something is screwed up in the printer settings and I can't figure out what. Everything is printing darker than it used to.
Can someone help me? ![]() ![]() ![]() I have it set to NOT choose Photo Enhance because that does seem to make the pictures printer darker ... ![]() I'm sure it is some little setting somewhere I am missing. ...and ignore that I have a layout sending to print ... it's actually a photo with sky behind it that was LOTS lighter that was printing out darker. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't print through PS so I can't help sharon. I flatten my files and save them as jpgs and then print them.

I sometimes print through PSE (version6) so not sure if I'll be of help or not. Mine doesn't quite look like yours but of what does this is what is different on mine from yours:
1. Under Color Handling mine says "Printer manages color". 2. The box that says" Black Point Compensation" is not checked!! Hope that helps a little!

when I bring in a photo into CS3 (I use the adobe raw settings for jpg) it is:
Adobe RGB (1998); 8 bit; 388 by 2592 (10.1MP); 300ppi ....it's the pictures that are printing dark and they aren't dark when you view them... ...is this something that needs to be changed??

I went to advanced mode inside the printer dialog ... to RESET DEFAULTS ... and the COLOR MANAGEMENT changed from ICM to Color Controls which I have no idea what that means. Wish it would TOTALLY reset to default but I don't think it is doing that ... I want to get a lot of layouts and pictures printed but want to make sure I have the settings right so I don't waste ink and paper. The picture on the screen is a LOT lighter than what is printing out. Appreciate the help!

This really a shot in the dark since I am essentially using a different program but I know how frustrating it can be to not have things right so I'm gonna throw this out there.
Go under edit ---> color settings (or CTRL + SHIFT +K) and see what you have "checked". Since one of my options under that is "Always Optimize for Printing". Who knows maybe that will help. Also I would think that if it looks ok on screen and it's only messing up when printing maybe something got messed up with your printer/print manager. Have you tried saving one of the images as a jpeg and printing it through another program (ACDSee or Windows, ect)?
