Default A little bit miffed with WHCC...

Well this is what I get for bragging them up a couple of weeks ago.

I designed last minute Christmas cards for a friend and had them drop shipped from WHCC straight to her. They were supposed to be delivered today, and when I checked the UPS tracking info, it said that they were delivered - FOUR STATES away from where she lives!

I called WHCC and they said it was a UPS error that they would remake them and ship them overnight, which I was happy about.

I got the remake confirmation email, and it has the description of the "incident" as: "WHCC Shipping Department error by Employee number XXXX" I'm hoping that the "by Employee" is who entered the info, not who's fault it was b/c that's not very professional. But the part I was most worried about was the shipping, which is listed as "Standard, 2-3 Day."

I called WHCC back and was told that since the shipping error was UPS's fault, they would not overnight the item. When I pointed out that the Incident Confirmation says that the error was theirs and offered to pay for overnight shipping, I was told that I was "not supposed to see" that information and that since I was "being difficult" she would go ahead and list the item to be overnight shipped (which is was supposed to be anyway!)

I then asked to speak to a manager, and said that I appreciated them taking care of the problem - but that I did not appreciate being told that I was "difficult" and that with an attitude like that, they most likely would not be keeping customers around. The manager was very, very nice and agreed that it was inappropriate, yadda, yadda.

I'm still impressed with their products, but am pretty annoyed right now about this. I understand that mistakes happen, but geesh.

I wouldn't let 1 bad customer service incident get to you. I'm sure they got a talking to for speaking to you like that after you spoke with the manager. With things as busy as they are now this season, sometimes things slip through the cracks. At least you caught it, and they are taking care of it in the way they said they would. SNotty CS rep or not.

ROFLOL... oh do not even get me started on WHCC. They give the worst possible customer service that I have ever received. Regardless of the fact that I'm normally happy with their product quality, their service has been absolutely horrendous.

Honestly, I think they know that a lot of people are stuck with using them, because there isn't anything else comparable, and they take advantage of that.

I've dealt with two HUGE shipping errors in the passed 2 weeks and neither time did I even get an apology. It was pulling teeth to even get them to expedite the shipping!

I understand what you mean. It really does suck dealing with bad customer service!! It does make good customer service so much more appreciated though. I had to deal with Nintendo last night and even though our DS is out of warranty they are going to repair it for free and give a new one year warranty on the repair. Cannot get much better then that!! Sorry she was so snotty though. Hope this time it gets sent to the right place

Yeah Jac and I have fun times with WHCC LOL

However I will say, last year, my 3 packs of cardstock got stuck in Canada Customs for a month. I called them to see if they could get more sent up asap, since they were so long, and I didn't mind paying. They reprinted, shipped them up the fastest way possible (I'm on the East coast of Canada), and did it for free, even though it was not their fault that Customs held the box for so long. I was quite impressed!

what is WHCC?

and lastly - carriers never make mistakes on the service level for shipping a package. They may screw up the delivery, but the delivery service level is determined by all of the stuff on the shipping label (which is printed by the shipper)...

I HATE it when companies blame others for their issues.

WHCC = White House Custom Color

That's so weird, I've never heard of them having such bad customer service before!
