Default S/O: Cloth Trainer pants...

This is a spin off of Traci's Cloth Diapers... I've been one of those that have used disposables the whole time (don't hate me, I use to work for the makers of Huggies - I had boxes of discounted diapers)... since kiddo is just not getting it, I was thinking of trying cloth trainer pants to see if that will help... any recommendations? I saw them on the site that Kristin shared... are they any good?

thanks in advance...

We never used them. We went right to underpants.

I have a bunch of friends that said that Hanna Andersson trainers were terrific. They are on sale right now. I personally didn't use them, but I wish I would have. Would have saved me many embarrassing episodes while potty training!

you could easily make some... I just bought one size bigger of regular underpants and sewed in a microfiber insert. I've seen the Hanna Anderson ones and while I think they're really nice, I haven't tried them out to see if they would hold one pee or not, I was afraid, lol... I know that many of my cloth diapering friends use the Imse Vimse brand for out in public and then regular underpants at home. This was basically what we did but with the homemade ones in public and the regular ones at home. The Imse Vimse I know for sure can hold one pee and obviously as long as you catch it right away before it soaks through to the clothes.

I had a few pairs I used with Luke at night, instead of the nighttime diaper things (I forget the name righ tnow). We just went straight to underwear for daytime.

I just bought a huge pack of those microfiber towels from Costco... in the auto section. I now use them for cleaning my house and find they are the best... I even used them for taking wallpaper down, was so much better than using a sponge, lol

Anyways, sorry to go off topic, lol... that reminds me that I need to pick up another pack at Costco to make some new inserts for baby.

You can buy microfiber inserts from a cloth diapering shop like these:

Or you could go with a hemp insert:
