Default The Walking Dead (A&E)

Anyone else watching? I totally did not see myself getting into this show...DH recorded it and we caught up over the past few days...who knew that a weird little show about zombies could be so interesting lol!

It's doing REALLY well in the ratings too...Entertainment Weekly has it on their cover this week claiming it's the best new show on TV...

I love this show! (I love the comics, too) The regular episodes haven't quite lived up to the pilot, but still very good. I'm so wimpy, tho, I have to dvr them and watch them in the daylight- such a dork

Ladies, really. You cannot tell me it's good, because BF kept talking about it beforehand and I mentioned I most likely won't watch it with him once he moved here. And that I cannot see how a zombie story could be interesting for more than 2 hours max.

And if other women find it good, that means I have to lie to him that I know no girl who likes it. And that's bad, because I am the worst liar on this planet. And in particular when lying to BF.

I was the SAME way lol...DH told me to be sure to set the DVR to record it when it started on Halloween and I was like..no way will I like this and that's why we waited so long to watch it b/c he wanted me to watch it with him..the we watched the pilot and I was hooked...I don't even know WHY I like it b/c that is usually NOT my genre but there you go lol

We have them all recorded but haven't watch any yet. Hope to soon though! It looks really good! They say it's up there with Mad Men & Dexter!

On IMDb it says the main actors were in 6 episodes so I guess there should be another one coming. Some seasons are short, like the I.T. Crowd...each season is only 6 episodes. Too bad!

I didn't read the thread just in case of spoilers but have the episodes so far DVR'd. I love zombie moves.... I say that but they also terrify me so I have to work up to it.

There are six episodes total...the pilot isn't numbered so that is why you're probably seeing episode 5 as the finale. It's been picked up for a full 13 episode 2nd season though.

I'm really liking this show. I was excited because I love a good zombie movie but it's even better than I thought it would be. The second season doesn't start until Oct. 2012, so it will be a long break.

I watched the first 2 episodes last night and enjoyed it so far. Maybe I should have expected it based on the subject matter, but I was a little surprised at how graphically violent it was -- lots and lots of "people" getting shot in the head with them showing all of it, not kind of cutting away like they would normally on tv.

I was surprised by that too, especially the little girl in the first scene of the pilot...

I actually love it too. That surprised DH because I am not a "gory" movie/show kind of person. But it's just really good!
