Default hey you halloween costume masters..

So, we're trying halloween for the first time this year. (ever, i never did it as a kid, so i'm clueless but the bf is in charge of helping )
anyway..........halloween costume. We require a brown tweed (ish looking, it doesnt need to be exact) jacket for ce...... Any ideas where to find one? We tried our local savers yesterday and it was pretty much a bust. We were thinking if we found a small mans or womans jacket we could make it work it'd just be a little big but no luck.. Any other suggestions for cheapy cheapy blazers/jackets ? bf is willing to pay 30.. i'm willing to pay like 5 hahaha ( ) i still have to get the rest of the outfit so i don't want to spend too much on the stupid coat (which.. as stated, "required" per ce. he won't do it without it. ) thanks :]

Can't help you with the jacket except hitting up as many thrift stores as possible. It's not a popular color in kids' suits. We went the cheap route for the fall festival and found a t-shirt online. Add fez, pants, sonics, and a little brother in a tardis box..cheap Dr. Who costumes

But I do have a source for cheap fez' if you want one of those

Have you tried Ebay, La? In the past, I've found it to be a good source for hard-to-find items. Good luck!

Either ebay, or a million thrift stores.
I found a ROCKIN 80's jumper on ebay 2 years ago for an 80's prom party we did with friends, lol. If I could find that (and my girlfriend found an amazing magenta sequined mermaid style prom dress) you HAVE to be able to find said jacket, lol.

Just looking for you La http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pendleton-Br...ht_3132wt_1343

Maybe you can take it in for him. Just keep looking. Ebay and all the thrift shops should have something.

There are a couple ladies jackets I found on Ebay pretty cheap:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMG-COLLECTI...item3cbc058a95

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANNE-KLEIN-N...item1e6732d402

Both of them are Buy It Now priced.

thanks girls.. i'm just going to keep looking - ty for the links, those will still be humongeously big on ce though and my sewing machine is temporarily out of commission.. i may have to ask my mum to take one in if we can't find anything smaller. we shall see. if anyone still feels like poking around lol.. a womans small or a mans xs would probably be ok with some fancy creative pinning. he just threw on a jacket of mine thats a small, and i think it'd be do-able if we had one that size. it doesnt have to be perfect ^_^

I'd be happy to check here in Seattle at the vintage shops. We are huge here for used clothing places. What size is ideal for him? You said Small in Womans or XSmall in men's but if I can find an actual one for a kid what size would he need?

there is this one in the UK that could maybe be shipped directly to you from the seller (although that's not listed on the listing) - or maybe by someone here at SSD living in the UK? not sure you could get it in time at a reasonable price though ...
