I just got a message from a local friend of hers. Lauren was admitted overnight, they found she had three blood clots, one blocking a kidney and 2 in her legs.
I wish I knew more about what the treatment plan is or how long she'll be there, but for now she wanted everyone to know she is ok. So scary! I'm worried about my bestie - please do keep her in your prayers tonight!

sooooo scary... and I must say that I'm ticked at the urgent care and her dr she saw earlier this week and how they seemed to just brush her off!

Ugh.. how miserable!! I have been thinking about her all day.. glad they at least have a direction to go in now to make her feel better but man they should of caught that before. Big hugs La!!

OMGosh that is really scary!! I hope she feels better soon!! I dont know why the doctors did not pick up on at least something going on with her kidney. Well at least now they have some sort of direction to look in so she can get started with recovering.

ticked does not even begin to describe how upset I am with the urgent care. I'm just glad she got to the ER. Poor thing!

At least they know what's going on now and can treat it. I hope she recovers quickly and properly and stays well. Good luck, La!!
Urgent care is fine for certain things but it sounds like this urgent care didn't take things seriously. I went to urgent care this past weekend, and because of the size and severity of my burn, they almost sent me to the ER - they recognized their limitations. Her urgent care place should have recognized that she was beyond their expertise and sent her to the ER right then.
