I need to TAKE photos in 2012. That's my issue, I don't take the photos that I need to take in order to scrap properly.
I also wanna reorganize my stash. And actually print layouts. I need to do a huge print order in january, with all of my LO's from this year. |

I 'just' have two.
(1) I want to be more intentional in my actual/technical scrapping. My photos and journaling are fine (could be better, but are fine for now), but my graphic design skills are sadly lacking (and it is ridiculous considering I have been doing this since 2003!). Rather than just 'feeling' my way through a page, I need to focus on actual graphic design principles and be intentional with my message on each page. (2) I want to wrap up my DD albums for 2008 (!!) and 2009. I'm fairly sure that I did not even start one in 2010. Maybe I can fudge it a bit. I also want to wrap up my AWITL albums from 2010 and 2011. I'm so so so into my DD 2011 album now that I've finally figured out what works for me, and I want to transfer that same energy into finishing those previous albums. P365 is too much for me to handle, but these smaller albums I like. |

I don't have huge scrapping goals for next year. Because I'm a huge failure in finishing a project. So my projects need to be one pagers, LOL!
I do have three things I have to or need to do: - Finish my wedding album. Photo's are all in place but I am struggling with the kit I want to use for it. - Scrap lots of layouts to document my pregnancy. Although I am only 8 weeks and I am still "critical"....I just want to remember this excited feeling forever. - Improve my photography....So I'll be taking a class for beginners starting in January! And ofcourse, after the baby is here, take lots of pictures to capture every moment.

If anything my goal is to get some books printed. I've been lax about getting my layouts organized and uploaded for printing my books this year. I would also like to take more photos - I take quite a few, but I could be better about it. Another related goal would be to stop buying ![]() ![]() |

It's so neat reading what everyone is planning for next year!
Julie, that's too funny about your son's baby book! I decided a while ago that I want to let go of that guilt and I'm not even trying to make a baby book. I'm just focusing on making layouts with the most important stories (or whatever inspires me at the time) and printing them for our family albums. At some point, I'll reprint some of them into a photobook for them to take when they leave home. My oldest is just about to turn 13 (how did that happen?!?) so I figure over the next 5 years I'll have scrapped a lot of stories. Aaron, I saw that class on the roundup and I'm torn. It may be the one new class that I sign up for before I work through the others, only because it's directly related to one of my goals for next year. However, I'm a little concerned that, with my track record, taking that class will ensure that I don't accomplish that goal. I guess I have a couple of weeks to decide. Lex, that was an awesome episode of the DigiShow, wasn't it? That's what really got me thinking about what I've done in the past and how it's turned out/made me feel. Doing that made me a lot more confident when deciding what I want to focus on this year. Quite a few folks have organize digi supplies as a goal. I imported all my supplies into LR this year and tagged the kit previews. I want (eventually) to tag the contents of the kits, too, but just having the previews tagged has made a huge difference! Marie, I totally get wanting to stop buying. I have way too many unused and underused supplies (most of my stash), but I can't help buying new stuff, either. My hope is to slow down the new purchases and use more of what I have. |

I'm doing P365 again, this will be my 5th year with it. I always make it a goal to scrap the photos in weekly layouts but by Feb I am stressed by it & go back to my usual photo book plan. This year I am not bothering with the scrapping goal. Instead my goal is to get more daily journaling done to include in the book's text boxes. Usually I just have a few words about the photo, this year I want more of a general how the day went.
I want to do another Week in the Life project. I did this year's over Thanksgiving while visiting my folks in FL. For 2012 I want to do it the week we are visiting my family in WV and on an average week. I also want to do a 12 on the 12th thing like we had in the portfolios in 2010. I'm working on a Tastebook recipe collection & I want to take photos of all the food as well |

Great post! I went from doing Project 365 religiously and scrapping fun layout on the side in 2010- to being SWAMPED this year and only scrapping a total of maybe 10 layouts, calendars, and cards for gifts. I miss being around here too.
![]() -- I'm going to be realistic about my time and skills. I'm a full time working mom with two little ones and a husband who wouldn't like me being on the computer during all my "free" hours (or minutes I should say). I am inspired by many artists here, but I also need to be ok with the fact that, quite frankly, they're better scrappers than I am. It's better to scrap my best, than NOT scrap because it's not as good as what I wish I could do. Again, my family thinks mine are great (and they don't get to see all the amazing work I see to compare to!) ![]() -- I want to take more photos and not get hung up on processing them. I'm not a great photographer, have a point and shoot camera and don't know all the tricks for nice editing either. I'm going to just focus on taking them and scrapping them after running just a couple actions. My family won't care about the editing anyway as long as it "looks good".... -- I want to go back and make my kids' baby albums. I started digiscrap when the kids were just a bit younger and all I have are their little "traditional" baby books where I recorded the little milestones. -- I will try to do monthly review pages this year. I LOVED my project 365 books but also realize I don't need a daily pic unless I'm going through changes in my life, you know? I imagine my 2012 life will look a lot like my 2011 life. ![]() -- I will try to scrap pretty and "fun" pages too and not feel bad about using my massive template stash to do so. Sometimes I feel like without Lynnette and Cindy's templates, I may have no pages at all. But then again, that's why I bought them right? In 10 years when my kids' look through, I'm sure they won't be thinking "This gorgeous page? It';s not mom's idea. Lynnette or Cindy made it first" ![]() And finally... -- I want to organize my horribly messy digi-stash and use the stuff I already have (TONS of it!) This is something I want to do, but knowing how tedious it is amkes me cringe. Seriously considering purging lots of old folders without even looking (except my SSD stuff of course- that's all goodies!) I think I'm going to make a note of this on facebook or somewhere I'll remember it. Nice way to get focused! ![]()

my goals:
1) organize my photos 2) complete AWITL and DD for 2012 (loved doing them this year and want to continue doing them every year) 3) learn CS5 better 4) complete Asher's 1st year baby book 5) less time at the computer and more time with my family (I know that's technically not a scrappy or photography goal, but if I'm not making memories with my family then I'm not having anything to scrap) |

My main goals are:
- stick with Project Life for 2012 - complete a P365 for Swerbaby (but not pressure myself into doing any crazy scrap-project with them, probably just a photo book) - make 2 specific layouts a month. One of Swerbaby, and one of all 4 of us as a family - take a million photos of US this year. I really fell off this last year and it makes me sad Mostly keeping it as low stress as possible. I have a million more ideas in my head, but I'm trying to keep it simple and not overload myself with the eventual guilt that will come from not being able to do everything, lol.

My goals are -
1. To keep up with Project Life. Which means getting and staying organized with stuff to slip in to the book. Sticking to printing photos from the week before every Sunday and doing assembly Sunday nights. Taking more everyday pictures (I'm going to need to get more creative when life is the same ol' same ol' from week to week.) 2. Getting my Project Life pages up on my blog. If I can do #1, this one can happen to (or at least that is what I'm telling myself.) 3. Create a Photo Book to document Hannah's Flag Football season. The season starts in Jan and goes to mid-March. It's only 8 weeks of games and I swore I was going to do this last year and then it fizzled out on week 3. Writing down what happended at each game and Hannah's reactions/thoughts. 4. Spend more time cropping with my friend(s). This lap top can go pretty much anywhere so I don't know why I confine myself to my family room to scrap. I want to spend more time with my scrappy friends. 5. Pictures and more pictures. I want to take more, stay on top of keeping them organized and actually start tagging my photos so they are easier to find.

FOCUS. I am sooo easily distracted, it can take me days to finish one page! I need to work on this.
I'd like to try to make a book for my older son's first year (and eventually my baby son, too) - like in actual linear form. I'm such a random scrapper that my album is kind of all over the place, but I'd like to at least do year 1 in linear form for the boys. I NEED to learn how to properly use my camera, but not stress that my photos aren't perfect (specifically, that my freaking house is always a disaster zone lurking in the background). And finally, just relax and enjoy myself. I spend way too much time and energy trying to keep up - I do scrap my own style and I love my pages, but I stress too much about trying to be as creative as the next person. I am a template scrapper and I am proud of it! I'm going to embrace that in 2012. ![]() ![]() I have more, I think, but the baby is hollering for me, so off I go!

Mine are pretty simple.......I think.
![]() 1. I want to get more comfortable in CS5. Currently making the change from PSE and waiting for the day that I don't have panic attacks while using it. LOL 2. Photography. I want to get to know my camera better by taking some classes. I have found a place in town that will do it that I want to go to. I want to sign up and DO it. I have talked about it WAY too long and just need to jump in. 3. I want to finish my AWITL project from 2011. Only 3 days are scrapped and I need to finish it. 4. I just want to capture more moments with my family. One, I just want to spend more time as a family. and two, it gives me more to scrap! and three.....I spend WAY too much time on the computer and need to get that more in balance. That is it. Totally doable, right?????? ![]() |

1 - Stop buying so much! It feels like GGG, NSD, and then Holiday GGG hit right on top of each other. As a result, I've got so many kits once I've combined them with Sweet Rewards purchases. I really need to get back to my original goal of not buying until I've used up everything but then I hate to waste the SR discount (which I did this month
![]() 2 - Keep up with the Portfolio each month. That has seriously helped jumpstart my mojo and I've loved all of the layouts I've been doing. 3 - Keep up with printing all of my layouts for the month and start putting a dent in the 200+ layouts from 2005-2007 that still need to be printed. |

Photography: Take more photo's. If all I have is a cellphone then use it. A memory captured, is a memory captured. Right?
Take my camera off Auto Mode and learn to use all the functions of my camera. Journaling: I used to journal whether or not I had photos or not. I want to get back to that. If I have the pics and journaling the memory is documented. Scrapping then becomes a fun bonus... which is what it is meant to be. Blogging: BLOG MORE!!! Writing is such a passion for me and it makes me sad that I have neglected this in the last year or two. Following on from the he/she thing earlier I have decided to do a He said - She said blog once a month. I'm still thinking of other things I'd like to include. I don't want it to be a scrappy blog primarily maybe just once a week uploading LO's and stuff like that. Will need to work on this one. Scrapping: Scrap more. I'd like to do a PL or P52 type album. I want a more comprehensive album too. I don't want a seperate album for special events, rather I want everything to blend into each other. You know? Booking the Hall for a party is pretty mundane and would only be one sentence in a weekly round up and done quite a while before the event. But when you look over all the LO's done in a year it would tell a pretty comprehensive story. Me: This is only slightly related but its the reason my BOM got derailed this year. I need to take better care of myself. So often I have not got a picture of myself because I did not do my hair or something like that. So that's a big one from me. Other: This is not scrapping related but it's worth putting it out there instead of keeping it a secret in case I fail. WRITE THAT NOVEL!!!! I have written the first few chapters and have the entire story worked out and planned. Now I just need to put finger to keyboard.
