Default WHOOHOOO!!!

So approximately a million years ago, we ordered new exterior doors for the front and back of the house. It was a long obnoxious process and I cried at least twice during it, lol. But, both Lowe's and Home Depot were running 15% off sales at the time, plus we get to take advantage of the tax credit for improving our home. We got to use a 10% off coupon on TOP of the 15% off, so hubby was a happy happy man.

The doors came in, and suddenly the guy couldn't come do them (and Hubby is 189890432821732% against having HD or Lowe's do the install. Well now what? So we wait, and we get more quotes, and nothing is working in our favor. One guy doesn't have insurance, another wants more than $400 more than anyone else, and the 3rd guy just can't fit us into his schedule. So we just wait. The doors taunt us from the guest bedroom downstairs.

2 weeks ago the busy guy said he could fit us in that week. Today was finally the day!!! We only had the front door installed, as the back door is a door-to-nowhere right now, lol. It's 15' off the ground, so we're going to wait until we get the deck done next year, and then do the back door.

So I stayed home from work today to wait for the guys to come. They finally got here at 2pm, and left at 6:30, but the new front door and transom are IN!! WOOT! And they didn't need to take down the exterior moulding at all, which is awesome. One less thing to take care of is always a good thing!

Here's the exterior with the Christmas lights on Dark, I know, sorry, lol.

Here's a shot from the interior. He's going to come back tomorrow and put up new moulding and stuff, which we weren't really expecting him to do, so that rocks!

The funny thing is that the transom and the door are by 2 different companies! Looking at them separately, I thought they would work fine, and they look AWESOME together! I'm so excited!!

Thanks guys!!
The above glass is new, that's the transom. But it replaced a transom that was already there. So the spot was always there, they didn't have to make a new hole, if that's what you meant.
