How long?
I know this has been asked before, but humor me. How long does it take you to complete a layout, on average? I'm convinced I'm the slowest scrapper ever! It usually takes me about 2-3 hours to complete a "normal" page (Don't get me started on my weekly Project Life spreads!).
I've tried so hard to be faster, but I nitpick and obsess about the details far too much! Do you have any tips for speeding up the process?

Around 30-45 mins I think.
Or hours and hours if one of the kids wants my attention lol.

Depends. Sometimes half hour, other times it seems like all day...Kennedy tends to play a role in how long it takes me to do a page lately.

ABout an hour. I'm like Traci, though. If I'm using a template it seems to take longer.

Forever....days....I am the slowest scraper in the world. I swap out papers, flowers, greenery, papers again, photos, sheesh. It's a wonder I have any finished layouts at all.

It probably takes me 60-90 minutes to do a page depending on whether I need to choose photos/kit, if I have a complicated template to use, etc.
I sometimes speed up the process by going through my photos of a particular day or event and putting them into their own folder in my 'To Be Scrapped' folder. I also might include a Notepad file for journaling or even the template or kit I am thinking abt using with the photos. Then when I actually have free time to scrap, I can just go into my 'To Be Scrapped' folder and at least have my photo selection narrowed down if not also my journaling and kit/template. |

I'd say 30 minutes for a simple page, 1-2 hours for something complicated.

From the point where I have my photo and kit selected, minimum an hour... sometimes 2+ because I tend to fiddle with elements alot. I'm quicker with a template but I don't like using templates much.

My one tip, and I don't know if this is something that you'd be interested in doing or not, is the Project Life App. I use it with my regular digital papers and cards, especially Traci's Pocket Life Collections. Because it's more basic and you can't do much more than put a photo or card in each space, pages really do come together much more quickly. After I finish my page in the app I bring it into PS to add a few embellishments for dimension, but I don't let myself spend too much time on it. (I either add text in an app like Over before pulling a card into the PL App or I wait and do it in PS, since the Project Life App doesn't allow you to write on cards that don't come in the App-my SSD supplies are treated like photos, which you can't write on in the app.) Nothing I tried before this sped up my PL pages; with all the capabilities of PS, I just can't keep my pages fast and simple. Since the PL App released for Android in late Feb, I've finished about 16 weeks of PL pages and a 20-page vacation album (vacation album not embellished in PS). I've been completing about 3x more pages using the app than just PS. That doesn't do a thing to speed up my non-PL pages, but at least I have more time to spend on them when the PL pages are coming together quickly, LOL!

It really depends on the layout... if it's photos I can't wait to scrap and have the idea for I can do it in under an hour.... but other pages that I'm scrapping just because they need to get done it could take me 2 to 5 hours.

On average, 2-3 hours. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Occasionally I can get one done in an hour if the mojo is flowing, but that's rare.

30 to 45 minutes......usually. If I have a bad day.........2 hours for sure before I give up and re-start the layout

UGH! Lately with Jasper it has taken me a day or two lol! In general..if I can just sit and scrap uninterrupted (ahahah! Right!) it is about an hour

Usually an hour if I have my photos already picked out. My photos are a hot mess though so sometimes I spend more time digging for "the perfect one" than I do actual scrapping.

For me it's kind of hard to say because I don't usually do a page all in one sitting. I have gotten faster with time. If I have a lot of mojo, it's PDK ... but if not, it takes forever! I'm almost always multi-tasking when I scrap. Yesterday, I got about 95% of a page done in about 30 minutes (with a template) ... but then didn't finish it up until today.

Sometimes a design comes to me quickly and I can get a page done in 30-40 minutes but other times I want to keep tweaking it so it might take me a few hours.

Like many have said, it varies. If uninterrupted and I have pics ready I can do it in an hour or less. I have spent days on some layouts when I have to scrap some here and some there.

45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes all day depends on if I wait until my kids are in bed or if they're using their torture techniques, so that I can't sit down for an hour lol!

I can usually get one done in 2-3 hours if I don't have any distractions. I usually have a few distractions so I like to scrap during my sons nap time. My husband hates me scrapping when he comes home he likes me to give him all my attention so I will make a deal and let him choose a movie to watch usually some action, shoot em up movie that I have zero interest in and I will scrap on my laptop while I "watch" the movie with him! Lol..... hey its a win win.

usually around 2 hours for me for a layout, including template/photo/kit choosing...
and i always finish the layout in one sitting, if i didn't finish it, most likely i won't finish it so it'll be deleted and i'll start a new one i'd love to scrap faster but i don't think it'll ever happen

It really depends for me too...on occasion it's 30-45 minutes. That's usually when inspiration has struck at some other point though before I sit down on the computer. Other times, I feel like it takes me forever and a day and I don't finish it in one sitting or even sometimes 2. I'm all over the map time wise.
